USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 To me, Trish's gimmick is similar to the heel Ron "The Truth" Killings, in that they were being portrayed as heels despite having the most common sense and speaking the truth when putting down people. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 You guys seriously don't know who Wendi Richter was? I'm with you, al ... these people have got to be joking when they say that they don't know who she is. She was attractive enough for the male fans (although she didn't do much for me), was grrrrrrl-power enough for the female fans, and thus got wicked over. Hell, they gave her the win that ended Moolah's decades-long reign for a reason. Plus, if nothing else, she played a HUGE role in the rock-n-wrestling scene that lifted wrestling out of smoky gyms and onto SI.

Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Out of all former Women's Champions, Trish is the best wrestler, the best talker, and the best draw (if such a thing is possible). The womens matches are among the lowest rated segments on Raw, and the entire division revolves around Trish, how exactly does that make her a draw? The only diva who even resembles a draw, is Lita...mainly because of her merchandise sales. Victoria and Molly are both better workers than Trish.

I'm with you, al ... these people have got to be joking when they say that they don't know who she is. Trust me, Secret Agent is my tag team partner down below in the SWF, and we talk wrestling all the time; or, more to the point, I'm talking to him about wrestling all the time... I will vouch for the fact that he knows dick about pre-Attitude WWF, and I tease him about it all the time. Hell, "The Ultimate Challenge" is pretty much the extent of his pre-1997 wrestling knowledge. And if you're reading this Johnny, don't get bent out of shape; you know you're my boy... It's not like we're talking about some random, 2-bit women's wrestler from 1960. The woman appeared at WM1, in a high profile match, and was very over. To not know doesn't indicate lack of knowledge of women's wrestling ... it indicates a lack of knowledge about somewhat recent wrestling history (regardless of the gender of the people in the match)
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Shes the greatest womens champion..... why?? uhhh Shes hot? Oh good answer. Trish as a wrestler made a stellar improvement since her T&A days where she could barely tie two boot stomps together in any match. But I can't tack that silly title to her, when the field of Wrestlers is down to slim to none in the whole company. When you don't have viable competition its hard to test out ones championship material. Case in point they get Trish to get into a feud with the number one useless piece o eye candy in the company and decide what the hell throw it on the biggest PPV of the year? Now a year or so back the Womens division was hopping, hell they were proving movewise to be more interesting than the lugging punch punch kick kick hoss style we were choking on. But now Jazz is gone, Gail is gone, Ivory is semi retired Lita is injured, and Molly and Victoria is barely on the map anymore. Trish could only be considered the greatest if it was a War of Atriction and she was the last one standing. beyond than giving her highest praise just because ...dawwww shes Purdy is belittling to what she can actually do. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted March 5, 2005 You guys seriously don't know who Wendi Richter was? Yeah I'm surprised too. I figured even newer fans had at least heard of her. Oh well. She's in the Desire History of the WWF video too.
gwf0704 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2005 Best technical wrestler was Jazz. Most dominant was probably Chyna due to the fact that she had to fight men as the women were no real challenge.
Guest Tjhe CyNick Report post Posted March 6, 2005 I think she's the best female in WWE history. I cant really count Moolah because I never got to see her in her prime (Im not that old), but all the others that has been mentioned Ive seen and I think Trish blows them all out of the water. She's the best combo of looks/ring skills and mic work that has come through the WWE doors. I prefer as a heel, because she makes a convincing bitch, even though from all accounts she's very nice in real life.

Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 You guys sound like the 14 year old girls who defend Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy...who gives a shit if she's hot, the only thing that should matter is how much ability she has.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Best technical wrestler was Jazz. Best women wrestlers the WWF/E ever had were the Jumping Bomb Angels. Wendi Richter, however, had the Sports Entertainment thing down. Most dominant was probably Chyna due to the fact that she had to fight men as the women were no real challenge. Chyna wrestled the men because Vince saw $$$ in it. Right place, right time. And once that gimmick ran it's course, they put her right back into the women's division. Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 I can see how this arguement could be made. I mean its like, Jordan wasn't the best shooter, best scorer, best defender....hell...best at any catagory of basketball, but he had enough of the parts that many think he is the greatest of all time (i disagree, but you get the point) Wrestling wise, Trish isn't the best ever, but she isn't Lita bad at wrestling. She sells very well and can bump, but has a pedestrian offense. I say you could put her middle of the road wrestling skill wise, but seeing as she has the ability to tell a story in the ring with her selling and bumping, you would be hard pressed to call her a bad worker. on the Mic wise, I think she is the best the women's division has ever had. Lets face it, most women wrestlers have sucked on the the mic, although Molly is pretty good. But I think she takes the cake here with her heel persona. Looks (which you have to admit, having the look is part of wrestling) she is probably across the board the best. I mean, personally, Molly is more my type, but you would be hard pressed to find a guy that finds Trish unnattractive. I don't know if I agree with the statement but she does rank up there in most of the catagories in making of a all time great wrestler.

During their run they were probably better skill wise than half the men on the roster.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 but you would be hard pressed to find a guy that finds Trish unnattractive. Not if you start a thread about her in LSD, I bet. I'll save Ripper the time of starting a thread in LSD. Trish is very average to me. The whole "gi-normous fake titties on a peroxide blonde" look does next to nothing for me. And her face is just average. Her body, if not enhanced in the chest, is smoking. But the total package (no, not Luger) is very average. So, would I say I find her unattractive? No. But to say that I find her attractive isn't entirely accurate, either. If it's just black and white (attractive or not) then I'd say yes. But since the real world has shades of grey, she's somewhere in the middle.
