Dimensions Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "Save the drama for your mama" - Booker T during dying days. I thought that caught on pretty well actually... "Through fierce winds and pouring rain, all evil shall fear the hurricane!" - Hurricane during the Invasion angle, never caught on but I always thought it was pretty cool. Well, I was kinda hoping it would catch on in the WWE but it didn't.,
The Buzz Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "It's Showtime Folks"-Sting It's not bad or anything it just couldn't compare with "I'm a twenty-four foot great white shark and I'm hungry. I'm gonna eat you up and spit you out"-Sting or the classic "OWWWWOOOOOOOO"
Guest Hass of Pain Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "You're going to be S.....O.....L....And I think we all know what that means" - Mike Sanders.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "Down with the Brown" Teddy Long would have to chant it everytime D'Lo would come out.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "Finally, the JUICE has come back..."
CanadianChick Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 CBL for Christian. Man, they tried SO HARD for so long to get that one over. I think it may have gotten chanted a bit during his intial feud with Jericho, but other than that... I think I liked it best when JR would hype it so badly. Speaking of Christian, there was a Brood one that I believe Edge said once. It went something like "Beware, be scared, because the freaks come out at night." It got said like once before the Brood split up.
Jericho2000Mark Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 The one where Rock got one side of the crowd to chant "You Are", and the other side to chant, "An Asshole", at Vince. I liked it, but there was no way the crowd would chant that on their own.
Epic Reine Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Speaking of Christian, there was a Brood one that I believe Edge said once. It went something like "Beware, be scared, because the freaks come out at night." It got said like once before the Brood split up. "Beware, take care, the freaks come out at night!" I loved that one.
Guest Stunt Granny Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Remember when Ahmed Johnson tried to get the fans to chat "You goin' down" to Faarooq. Although it sounded more like "You gonna done"
Youth N Asia Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Booker T: "Hulk Hogan, we're coming for you, nigga!" Seriously, should have caught on. I wish he'd said it more "Lives are gonna be, in Wayon Mercy's hands. Know what I mean?"
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 That Brood phrase was from the Smackdown! pilot episode.
Special K Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 The Brood was so bad when they talked. Gangrel did NOT sound intimidating, and we all know Edge's goofy-ass voice.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "Everybody goes down for the 3 Count!" --- 3 Count "And that's just the way it is!" --- Chris Benoit in 2000ish
Betty Houle Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 "How do you like me now?" - Holley Ok, it was horrible....but it was fun to hear the crowd not react after he puts his heart and soul into asking. Now immortalized on the Anthology CD.
Epic Reine Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 2 more: "That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!" - DDP It was actually starting to get over but then they canned DDP for a few months. "I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know!" - Sean O' Haire
Guest Professor X Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Jarretts "Don't Piss me off." What? The Bossman and his "You'll be serving hard time" McMahon "You're fired" "I am not a nugget!"
Special K Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 I think 'What?' actually caught on way TOO well.
Some Guy Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 The Booker T line was "My daddy always said if you want some, come get some but you better be big enough and bad enough to take some." The "don't hate the playa hate the game" line would have worked for a heel who was responding to a face bitching about the heel cheating. But the way Booker used it just didn't make sense. He'd just tack it on ot the end of every promo. "Now, can you dig that? SUCKAAAAAAAAAA!" is a way better end line.
Art Sandusky Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 "Riiiiiiiiiight!" -- Rikishi. I really liked this, and unlike a lot of these that were on TV or whatever, he used this for a show or two and then at KOTR 2000 (twice!), but I never heard it again.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Uh... I'd say DDP's speech was over, considering thousands of Canucks chanted it at the end of his match with Christian at WM 18.
CanadianChick Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 "Beware, take care, the freaks come out at night!" It was CLB there CC. In other words, everything about my post was wrong. Thanks for the corrections.
JoeDirt Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 "That's what silent, but violent, is ALLLLLLLLL about." --Chris Benoit.
JST Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I feel that "Silent But Violent" could've worked, if done right. Then again, WCW...
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I gotta good one. Jeff Jarrett, Jan-Feb 1998, just having returned from WCW, was the NWA North American Champion in a stupid NWA-Invasion shitty angle. Aztecs Tights Jeff. His theme music used to start off (Holly-esque) with: "There's All the Great Superstars in the WWF, but then there's ME!" and then his music played. Please tell me someone remembers this.
JST Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 All too well. When did he exactly go back to his more recognizable look? (flashy country outfit w/ straps)
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Well at No Way Out 1998 he was Aztec Warrior Vs. Bradshaw. At WM 14 (next month) he was Flashy Outfit Riding with Gennifer Flowers. Backlash he sung with "Sawyer Brown".
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Somewhere in between he dumped the NWA and Tennessee Lee introduced him back as the country singing Jeff Jarrett that we all know and hate.
