The Dillinger Escape Plan will be in Nashville or Memphis sometime in April. I'll more than likely go.

Not quite summer but;

U2, October 3rd at whatever they're calling the Fleet Center (I got floor tickets)

The rest of the money I'm saving for tours later in the year. Nothing in the summer so far strikes out at me and says "Wow I have to see this."

I might sneak into Bonnaroo, but there's no way I'm paying for that crap.

Pearl Jam's supposed to be touring, so needless to say I'll be there.

I also heard that rumour and if they hit either Pittsburgh or Columbus, I'll be there.

I'll also be hitting Warped this year to finlly see Dropkick Murphys.

As far as I know right now, Deicide/Immolation/Skinless/Misery Index is the only thing guaranteed. Ozzfest is possible, if it doesn't skip Sacramento this year, but I am not sure if I want to pay the huge price.

Here we go..

Velvet Revolver, April 28th.

Santana/Los Lonely Boys, June 29th.

Def Leppard/Bryan Adams(ugh), July 29th.

Motley Crue, August 26th.

MOTHERFUCKING REO SPEEDWAGON, September 3rd.

Those are the big "5", minus Ozzfest, Warped, and whenever Judas Priest decided to tour here.

Just sneak in. Last year, I saw as many people without bracelets as what had them. Getting around the actual stages and shit is a little harder, but still possible.

Def. gotta go to Ozzfest this year to see Sabbath and Maiden. Rob Zombie is headlining the second stage too. For someone who's never been to an Ozzfest how does the second stage concept work? Is it physically a second stage that plays before (or during?) the main stage acts, or is it all on the same stage but the "second stage" bands go on earlier in the day?

Its a seperate physical stage.

The second stage starts early in the morning like 10 and plays 20-30 minute sets and the headliner of the second stage goes 45 and it ends about 5 and 10 minutes after that the opening act for main stage goes.

at least thats how it goes for me.

Second stage headliner usually has the roughest pit, if that matters to you. Mainstage is a dawdle. I went the first few years of the tour, and learned not to even bother with the main stage until the sun starts going down. The pavillion atmosphere of the venues they stop at totally ruin the up close and personal feel of a metal show. The second stage retains some of that, but it's astronomically gay to pit while a band performs several hundred feet away down a slope, with seats in the middle. Especially if it's Incubus or something.

seats in the middle?

Second stage for Ozzfest here was in a empty parking lot with ample room for a stage and a good deal of space for the fans and there was a grassy area for sitting way about 250 yards from the stage.

Michael Marra: 3rd April

Arthur Lee: 13th April

REM: 14th June

Brian Wilson probably: 16th July

Not cheap! Brian Wilson tickets are going at £50 each and although Arthur Lee is only £16.50, I'm getting my arse torn open with service charges and such like. Ah well, will be worth it to see all the genius.

I enjoyed the Bonnaroo weekend...

Some really good sets, met some swell folk, nearly got arrested for hitchhiking in, got so sick I was puking in every other portapotty, and laughed at thousands of naive cheesy hippies.

I think the lineup is better this year.

Yeah, but for $275, plus the gas, plus the booz, plus the drugs, plus the food, plus the crappy t-shirts that are overpriced but I still buy, is way too much.

I wish I could go. :(

So skip the 275 bucks for the ticket, walk in through the woods after parking someplace in Manchester like 150,000 other people, and enjoy the weekend.

Does it MATTER who else is playing?

Anyway, since my town sucks, I'm going to no concerts.

Wait, scratch that. Apparantly, Motorhead *IS* coming here, so I'm going to that.

Is it really that easy? Cause I just think you want me to go all the way down there and get shut down. Then I'll see you and you'll be like "Haha, Mole you idiot."

It's easier than I made it sound, actually. My buddies Kenny and Spike are fucking morons, and they managed to hitch hike down there, sneak in, and stay fucked up and fed all weekend, on about fifteen bucks apiece. Granted, they had to run from security once (easy, since they're fat and unmotivated), and they stole some other kid's mushrooms, but they still had fun.
