Hassan is quickly becoming the best male heel the WWE has. This guy could get any feud over with his promos and I can imagine them building a feud around him going undefeated for a long time and being denyed a world title shot because of his heritage, and eventually he takes it in his own hands and attacks Batista. I see the guy as Champion within a year.

With JBL exceeding expectations, I think Vince is fully confident than he can make just about anyone a star if they're tall, and can just throw the title on a guy first, build him up later.

That

This.

O yah, once he loses, he will Ludvig Borga it. He will never be champ and really isnt that over right now due to his quite matches.

He is a very exagerated version of Batitsa. And, when Batista gets a fued that dosnt involve HHH and fails, he will be where Hassan will remain, a midcarder.

Two years and he'll have a shitty run then go back to midcard.

You do remember that in his biggest match so far, he blew a spot so bad that they completely changed the finish from him getting the pin to losing by DQ, right? The guy's so poor in the ring that he should actually probably be in OVW right now.

Also he's got the definition of a midcard gimmick. It relies mainly on cheap heat, and while it can work most of the way up the card, it's not the kind of thing you want headlining your brand. About six months from now, he'll be as stale as Eugene.

The guy's a solid mic worker, and I think he works fine in his role, but there's no way he even deserves a title shot, let alone a run with the belt.

The problem with Hassan is that no other heel on Raw will be a World Champion until HHH retires or gets bored with his vanity plate.

Magnus (Hassan) always used to be decent in the ring.. I guess its true that OVW ruins a lot of guys, by changing their movesets. Or at least when they get called up. Magnus was always decent...

Changing your moveset doesn't make you blow spots. I think people are just a lot more forgiving of mistakes when looking at lower level promotions than they are with the WWE. Even WCW used to blow spots in at least three matches a night, and then people were surprised when the people that "stood out" just by being competent just looked mediocre in the WWE.

I like Hassan on the mic a lot. He's clearly no stud in the ring but hopefully he will improve when he gets to work with Benoit, HBK, etc. We'll see. I liked the segment with Michaels tonight, and JR's selling of the beatdown as just heinous was great.

His gimmick reminds me of Mordecai. It'll be a good nostalgia thing for awhile, but shortly, people will stop caring.

That said...can we see Divari wrestle sometime soon please? I've heard very good things about his indy work under the name Shawn Divari.

In my opinion, they shouldn't rush his progress and should have him tag with Davairi. I think those two would make a great tag team with plenty of heat that would revitalize the tag scene at least for a while. We don't need to have the worthless tag team of Regal and Tajiri with the belts anymore, put it on these two and let them make them worths something. This way he can work on his timing without having to carry matches on his own. But...I forgot, tag teams are evil, we can't have them anymore. :(

My memory is shaky, but I remember Benoit missing the headbutt completely.

Ahh, now I remember. Ya, that was pretty bad.

Still, Hussan can only get better. People are singing the praises of Trish as a heel now and let us not forget that she was also quite terrible at one time.

Hassan in my opinion is steadily improving. His first few matchs he had I didn't care in the least for but now I'm actually enjoying his work in and out of the ring. As long as he stays protected I feel he could be something special.

Magnus isn't good in the ring... he was carried in OVW a lot by Dinsmore, Conway, Bashams, etc.

The reason people get worse when they get called up to WWE from OVW is 1) OVW books to wrestlers' strengths and 2) WWE ridiclously protects moves of their guys, where everyone has 4-5 moves everyone else "can't do".

He could make a great champ but could people really buy the guy who got beat by Jerry Lawler and lasted less than a minute in the royal rumble as a champ? fuck WWE and announcer storylines.

He beat Lawler, actually.

And even if he hadn't, it's not like they're putting the belt on him tomorrow, so they've got plenty of time to build him up. I've liked Hassan so far. Outside of the fact that his promo delivery kinda bugs me, he's been a good heel so far. He's been kept fairly strong with this whole undefeated streak, and it's refreshing to see someone that's not in Evolution get that type of treatment.

And personally, I'm dying to see a feud between him and Shelton, if only to see how they play up the racism angle.

Hassan is much better on the mic than i'd expected too....I'd say he ranks in the top 5 in wwe right now

Trish wasn't being pushed as hard as Hassan was. That's not a fair comparison.

And it's Hassan. Not Hussan

God no. It's a horrible gimmick. His delivery sucks. That fake intensity and anger is almost as bad as Edge's. And Davari's role in getting heat is just by annoying the shit out of the crowd, which is so 1988. It's a horrible gimmick played by two horrible wrestlers. They should just scrap it ASAP.

SummerSlam 2005

World Title Match

Washington D.C.

The Nation's capital's own BATISTA defends against Arab-American Hassan!

Just saying! They had him go over the first undisputed champion. They wanted him to go over Chris Benoit. He did not even job to Shawn Michaels. He was in the ring with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. It seems like he is going to feud with HBK now.

*I just wonder about Vince's comments about JBL being a good face* If there is a draft and JBL comes over from smackdown I would not be surprised to see JBL vs. Hassan for the title. Of course, this throws a monkey wrench into Triple H's plan to be Ric Flair, but why stop progression now.

If anything his huge crowd heat is the best thing about him.
