Guest TheDon Report post Posted April 15, 2005 The reason why I am asking is because the other day I had a couple and they weren't that bad. I was just on ign.com and saw an ad for the snacker. The piece of chicken in the ad was huge but when I had the sandwich, the piece of chicken was half the size of the whole bun. Can I sue KFC for false advertisement? hhh6294 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 dude... it's called Advertising period. It got you to buy the sandwitch, so it obviously worked. I don't bother with KFC anyways... Popeye's is just so much better.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 Strip size is highly random. I've heard everything from how big they are to "these things are smaller than Chicken Selects". Late last month, a KFC in either Texas or California sold 996 of them in a single day, and I believe that is still the sales record. I've heard reports of other stores hitting the 750 mark a few times.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 You meant to tell me the snacker size I see on the TV isn't the same as the actual snacker I would buy in the store? Get the hell out of here...
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 I saw the same ad and thought about it, simply because KFC never comes cheap and .99 seems like a good deal, but realized it was probably tinier than fuck.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 Those McD's McChickens are small but god damn they are tasty. But it's chicken so eventually I'll give it a shot. Right after I pick up my buy 5, get 5 free of the chicken selects. That'll give me lunch for the next five days.
Si82 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 These things look the same as the KFC Mini-Fillet burgers you can get here in the UK. I actually had two of them today at lunch time. The bits of chicken usually fill the bun and they are quite tasty. Just a bit small that's all.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 does it fuck up the 99 cent thing if you get the Snacker combo?
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 It's called a Snacker. What do you expect? I'd suggest getting the combo. You get two of those, a side, and a drink. If that doesn't fill you up, then look elsewhere, fatass.

Eclipse 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2005 I tried it about a week after it came out. The local KFC that my mom got them screwed up the order BIG TIME. One of them was the Chicken KFC Snacker. The 2nd one that she ordered for herself...ummm..WOW. It was like grounded up chicken with a glob of BBQ sauce! I was disgusted! I have NEVER seen that sandwich in KFC! Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 We don't have Popeye's Chicken around here, as far has I know and I don't like KFC chicken. So it's usually Cub Foods chicken if it's not homestyle.

Believe it or not, you're actually better off eating a KFC chicken sandwich (without the sauce). And Popeye's chicken is a little....sweeter, it seems, than KFC, if you're into that, and their biscuits are tasty and their Cajun fries totally rule (not as much as Checkers do, but still). Although KFC has some awesome honey bbq wings, so it's a trade off between the two.

I have NEVER seen that sandwich in KFC! This could go in the "industry secrets" page, but... The meat that you ate came off the bone of the original and extra crispy chicken that was thrown away the night before. What I mean is, at the end of the night they take all the chicken left, but the wings, and save all the meat (minus bones and skin) and then the next day (or two) they cut it or rip it up and use it in the Pot Pies and the BBQ Sandwiches. It is kept refrigerated overnight.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Popeye's and KFC are apples and oranges. If I'm in the mood for one, the other isn't even a consideration. The biscuits are my favorite thing from both places and even they have no crossover appeal in my eyes. The thing about original recipe is, every once in a while I'll crave it, and then when I get it, it makes me sick after a couple pieces and I never want to eat it again. On the other hand, I've completely given up fast food, so this is all reminiscence.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Chicken places are ripoffs. $12 for 10 pieces of chicken? Screw that, try $4 for a whole chicken and cut it up/cook it myself.

As long as the food that is reused is handled, cooled and reheated properly, theres nothing wrong with it, but thats where a lot of people get in to trouble and it can make people sick if it isn't. Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Holy shit, this is just a Chicken Little again, albeit a lot more expensive. I loved those things.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted April 16, 2005 Can't believe someone else remembered the Chicken Littles. I, too, loved them like they weren't going to be there tomorrow...and then they, indeed, disappeared. As far as KFC goes, I can't eat their regular chicken (nasty as hell), but their chicken strips are delicious.

Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 If I ever want a chicken sandwich, I get a Hot n' Spicy McChicken from McDonalds. It's only 1 buck, bigger, and tastes pretty damn good.

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Random note on the KFC Honey BBQ wings. Either the KFC employees are morons, or something with the mix of a paper-like box and honey did not mix
the max 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I threw up the last time I had honey bbq wings. I had the nasty taste of barbecue sauce being "refunded" for about 10 hours. Not even Altoids got it to go away.
