Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Back when I ate junk food all day long I would mix Cheeze-Its and broken up Chips-Ahoy cookies. A great mix
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Oh here's something else I do. When I have a bowl of cereal with marshmallows I eat all of the crunchy parts and leave all of the marshmallows. Then I eat the mallows. All that sugar and milk at once usually makes me sick but I can't quit doing it. A quirk a friend of mine had is that he'd order a bean burrito from Taco Mayo and an order of Potato Locos. Then he'd unroll the burrito and feel it with the locos before rolling it back up and eating it. I also can't stand onions unless they are in onion ring form. Same as potatos and ketchup. Only in fry and tot form and only in ketchup or salsa form. I had this professor one time that was really really pompous. He was my Writing for Mass Media teacher. And he's been in the journalism business for 35 years. He talked about when he was an editor and he had an interview with a reporter he liked and he was like "I liked him except that at the meal he ate his french fries with his hands! How unprofessional! But I gave him a shot despite that fact!" And then he would go on about how this kid ate his french fries with his hands and finally somebody raised their hand and said "How else do you eat french fries!?" and he was like "With a fork! DUH!" What the fuck? Anyone here ever eaten french fries with a fork?

PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Oh heaven forfend, salt and oil. It's not gonna stay there forever. Props to Agent for using the word 'serviette' when he clearly drives a pickup and listens to metyl.
Guest Fook Report post Posted April 28, 2005 The fork thing is just something that was ingrained in me at a young age. About the only thing I eat with my hands are foods that have bread or a bun (like a sandwich or cheeseburger) and raw fruits and veggies. Even things like chocolate bars I don't touch with my hands (I peel back the wrapper and hold it by that). As you might imagine, this makes eating wings pretty difficult. LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 What the fuck? Anyone here ever eaten french fries with a fork? That reminds me of when John F. Kerry was trying to eat a Philly cheesesteak sandwich while mingling with the American people.

Special K 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Besides plain, unadorned fruit, I'm not big on sweet stuff at all. I like two flavors of Ice cream (mint and pistachio), and I don't like baked sweets like cakes and cookies, though they don't disgust me or anything. Not to say that I eat healthily. I love me some fried food, burgers, etc. I don't really like french fries. They're ok, but why eat something so bad for you when it tastes like nothing? I love almost all raw vegetables, and have a number of cooked vegetables I hate (cooked carrots? barf.) This goes even as far as sweet potatoes, which I can't stand cooked, but will eat raw. The exception is bell pepper, which is much better cooked. Raw onions have to be used in moderation as well. I like my food as hot as possible. When I get pho, I put enough sriracha in it that it turns deep red and completely opaque and cloudy, and stains my lips. I get 6 star on a scale of 5 at thai and Indian food restaurants. Any Mexican place, I ask for habanero sauce to apply liberally. I can chug salsa. The downside is, while my mouth is pretty fireproof at this point, my ass is not. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 I can't go near pureed/mushed apple. Ever since I got sick eating some apple pastry things (can't remember what they were called) from Burger King, I can't look at pureed apple without feeling ill. Put me off burgers for a while too. At least the way the fast-food chains cook them.
JJMc 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 When I'm eating a sandwich with a drink, let's say can of pop, I always eat half the sandwich, drink half the pop, eat the other half of the sandwich, and then drink the other half of the pop. I do that as well, except I usually eat all of whatever it is, then drink the drink after.

elite 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I basted a turkey with cough syrup. I know a group of wacky alcoholics that once stuffed a Thanksgiving turkey with bread that had been marinated in a delightful blend of various cheap liquors. Yep, that looked gross. As for me and my weirdness, I hate veggies, but can manage to force down canned peas and/or carrots, but frozen? No friggin' way. Can't stomach it. Also, I have an irrational fear of fat sightings on meat and undercooked-ness. I will cut off whole chunks to avoid any sort of fat. And if I see even the slightest hint of pink, I vomit a little in my mouth. Then there's my allergy to chocolate that doesn't stop me from eating the stuff. No matter how many times I munch down a Mars bar and then stuffer with a 3 hour tummy ache, I'll still do it again at a later date.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I have the same problem with vegetables and the texture, especially on beans. I can't eat chili when it has beans in it. I eat sloppy joe mixed with macaroni and cheese which is a little odd to say the least. It's good, try it. Although my mother makes it different than like a manwich. She makes it with ground beef, chicken gumbo, worceshitre sauce(however its spelled), mustard and ketchup together, it's pretty damn good. Another thing is, there is something about eating early in the morning that doesn't agree with my stomach. I used to eat cereal before I went to school until I started getting these massive stomach aches on the bus ride. So I quit eating cereal and then I was really hungry. I don't know what my problem is, I just can' eat before like 10 in the morning.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Yeah, I'm a stickler on fat-on-meat as well. It just fucks up the texture and tends to taste bad too. On the texture front... I love raisins. I hate raisins in anything other than cereal, and that's usually because they're hardened. Raisin Butter Tarts? Euck. Raisin Bread? No thanks. I don't really have many rituals when eating, but eating an Ice Cream cone becomes a complicated proceedure that I dare not try to describe. I do the chocolate bar thing too sometimes, especially with Kitkat bars. I can't possibly eat those things with the lil chocolate connectors still on em.
elite 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Now I'm all curious about your ice cream procedures. Do you bite off the bottom of the cone and suck the ice cream out through it?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Oh man.......I love to eat that fat on a piece of steak. Don't ask why. I just love it. Oh and when I eat ice cream in a bowl i eat part of it then wait for it to melt and make sort of a paste and then i eat that.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I make sure to order cheeseburgers without onions, but I can handle onion rings. I usually get one plate of stuff from a Chinese buffet, with various stuff on it I've eaten entire cans of Spam at one sitting multiple times (does it count if one of the cans was a half-sized can I got at a gas station?). I had a 7/11 slurpee, taquito and funyuns before a test in one of my classes. And I actually kept the slurpee with me in the room during the test. During Lunch, I've been prone to going though the drive-thru and then parking my car either in a park parking lot or in my school's parking lot. Snyder's of Hanover rocks I order chili instead of fries when I go though Wendy's I can only stand to eat McDonalds food for breakfast. And with a Hi-C Orange. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I make sure to order cheeseburgers without onions, but I can handle onion rings. Thank God. I thought I was the only one. Edges of fat on any type of meat really grosses me out. When I don't see it before biting in is the worst. The only vegetables I like are carrots, radishes, cucumbers/pickles, potatoes, corn and onions(but only in fried ring form). I'll try almost any type of fruit though, even if I never tasted it before.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Count me among those that eat all of one thing, then all of another, then all of a third, etc. I go as far as not touch my drink until my entire meal is done (unless I'm either choking, really dry mouthed, or it's an alcoholic beverage) I won't get the same thing as someone else at my table, unless it's like a restaurant specialty or something. (e.g. if I'm at Morton's I'll get a steak even if other people are, but if I'm at a regular restaurant I won't get the same thing as someone else) And count me among those that eat fries with a fork. No real reason, I don't care about getting stuff on my hands. I just dig eating fries with a fork.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I do the eating all of one thing too. It's usually based on what will taste worse if it gets cold. So if I get french fries with a meal I always eat those before touching anything else. I hate anything other than meat or cheese on my sandwiches. If they mess up and put onion on it I need a new bun because of the taste. I hate the fat on steaks as well. I usually hack it to bits trying to get rid of every piece of fat on there. I also need it to be practically charcoal or I feel it's underdone.
Ace309 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I'm the most anal-retentive coffee drinker ever. 16-ounce mug, seven sugar cubes, up to a specific point on the mug and then topped off the rest of the way with milk. I also get beer-snobby at restaurants and have been known to order a separate pint to go with each course (and then a cider for dessert). I also put barbeque sauce on Kraft dinner. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I have some of my own, but most were from childhood, so I'll have to think of them. I'm not fully awake yet. I want to add one that a friend has, though. TSM poster LJSexay and I had known each other online since 2000. When I moved out to California, I discovered that I was 5 miles from his school. We met up at the university village and got something to eat. Luis got some fries, and I looked on in astonishment as he took each individual fry, squeezed a thin line of ketchup onto it, ate it, and repeated. I had never seen anyone do that before. EDIT: The only ones of mine I can think of right now (I used to have a lot) are that, when eating chili, I always eat the ebans first and save the meat for last. At burger and fry places, I always eat the fries first and burger last.
