Avril Wannabe? ... HELLO! I'm from Napanee.. she lives a whole whopping 5 minutes from me.. and she is SO FAR from punk, it's not even funny.. well at least she was until they told her she wasn't pretty enough to sing COUNTRY MUSIC! Then she went to punk.

Is it at all possible that Ashley could actually learn to wrestle? Noone in this thread has suggested it, and I've purposely avoided every Diva Search segment on TV, so I'm not sure how athletic she is or anything. Still, I imagine that WWE are trying to look for that rare combination of looks and wrestling potential, trying to repeat their success from when they unearthed Trish Stratus and her transition from manager to one of their all-time best women wrestlers.

 

I'd imagine she'll feud with Trish for a while upon her return, going through the same 'proving herself' storyline a la Trish-Christy at WM 21. Otherwise, I'm only forseeing a Playboy pictorial and a few lingerie pillowfights before being phased out for Diva Search winner '06.

The WWE seems to be distancing itself from women's wrestling. They seem to be more than content with TnA, especially TnA that's willing to get in the ring and do some sort of match (regardless if it's the Sharmell/Melina feud from these past few weeks or just a normal lingerie catfight).

 

I don't think they have any plans on putting on a real women's wrestling match any time soon.

I can't stand her. I can't stand the fact that she has the fakest tits I've ever seen. As a wrestling fan, for many years, that's a pretty bold statement. Hell, even Sable's plastic cones still moved when he bumped or whatnot. Ashley's doesn't have any movement at all! It's disgusting.

 

Also, Ashley comes off, to me at least, as if she's the bandwagon jumper of the century. I don't know how or why I got this vibe. It just seems to me like it it were a few years ago, she'd be dressing grunge instead of how she dresses now.

 

I can't stand the fucking finger point that she constantly does either. Especially since Trish has been doing it as part of her entrance, when she's face, for years.

I hope Trish comes back and beats the holy hell out of Ashley. Better yet, just have Trish come back as a heel manager so she doesn't have to mess with all of these other wannabe 'divas.' I think the managerial position is a lost art in wrestling and everyone knows Trish could help out some of those guys who suck on the microphone.
