I love the ending of Madvillainy (All Caps, Great Day, Rhinestone Cowboy). The trio just before it (Fancy Clown, Eye, Supervillain Theme) are also superb. It's probably the only album I own that gets significantly better the longer it goes on.

If singles count, then Radiohead's Street Spirit (Fade Out)/Talk Show Host/Bishops Robes combo is superb.

It annoys me that Aquemini, one of my favourite albums full of standout songs, never has a consistent run of three songs.

If "Fake Plastic Trees" was there instead of "High And Dry," then yes. I never thought "High And Dry" was very good at all, actually.

EIIRP - Kid A - The National Anthem is great and goes 1-2-3

Exit Music - Let Down - Karma Police

Climbing Up The Walls - No Surprises - Lucky

I was always fond of Packt - Pyramid - Pulk, which gets bonus points for being 1-2-3 AND alliteration. I'm the only person who doesn't think Pulk is shit, I guess.

pick anything past Bleed American from Bleed American/2nd Self Titled by Jimmy Eat World, and even Bleed American's not horrible

The "You and Whose Army?"-"I Might Be Wrong"-"Knives Out" stretch of Amnesiac is good. Maybe a little obvious. Also, "The Modern Age"-"Soma"-"Barely Legal" portion of the first Strokes album. Fun.

Stooges-Fun House

"Down on the Street" "Loose" and "T.V. Eye"

Though any combination of songs from the album could work.

Prince-Purple Rain

"I Would Die 4 You" "Baby I'm Star" "Purple Rain"

It would be nice to include When Doves Cry but these three flow so well into each other.

Arrange the last six tracks of Neurosis' "Through Silver In Blood" in any set of three. You'll be good no matter which.

I was about to mention Nevermind but how about In Utero:

Serve the Servants

Scentless Apprentice

Heart Shaped Box

(Come to think of it the following 4-6 of Rape Me, Frances Farmer, and Dumb is pretty solid too)
