strummer Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 The first one I remember seeing in the theater was one of Muppet movies from the early 80s
foleyfanforever88 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs in 1983. I had just turned 3. hmm..my first memory of the movies was seeing Snow White, but I wasn't alive in 83. Maybe I was just watching it on a huge TV, i dont know.
Ed Wood Caulfield Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 White Men Can't Jump when I was 3. I became obsessed with that movie after I saw it. It's still one of my favorites.
Alro Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 The first moive I saw in the theater was ET in whatever year that was released. The first movie I actually remember seeing in the theater was He-Man: Secret of the Sword. The theater where I lived was called the Alice Palace and there was some substance on the floor that was stronger than most industrial glues. I don't remember much about the movie, but I do remember getting a free comic book.
Vyce Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 First one I can remember seeing was Bambi. I was probably around 3 or 4. Anyway, I only got to the part where the hunter killed Bambi's mother, because as soon as that happened I started bawling my eyes out and my mom had to take me home to console me.
Kaertos Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I know I went to many movies before this (my parents were huge movie buffs at the time) but the first movie I remember wanting to see and seeing in a theater was Star Wars. My dad went to the midnight premiere and I was supposed to go with him, but I had an ear infection and had to stay home, so he took me to see it a few days later with my mom. I was 4 years old.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I think it was Jungle Book (can't remember it was so long ago) but I do somewhat remember seeing ET.
notJames Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 It was either Jaws or Kramer v. Kramer (I can't remember… I was . My mom apparently wasn't concerned with the content of movies back then. The former made me afraid to go in our basement, and the latter made me leary of jungle gyms and naked women. Upon further research, it was probably Jaws, since the other one came out in 1979, and I'm sure I saw Star Wars in 1978.
Ripper Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 It was Raiders of the Lost Arc. The second one I ever saw was ET and Temple of Doom was the third.
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs in 1983. I had just turned 3. hmm..my first memory of the movies was seeing Snow White, but I wasn't alive in 83. Maybe I was just watching it on a huge TV, i dont know. It was re-released a couple of times since then, so it was probably one of those. Disney stopped the practice of re-releasing their old films sometime in the 90s.
CanadianChris Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Back to the Future, when I was 11.
10 Pounds Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Back to the future II when I was 4. The only thing I remember was when Biff chased Marty in the tunnel.
SuperJerk Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 White Men Can't Jump when I was 3. What the fuck is wrong with your parents?
Aero Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I want to say either Aladdin or Jurassic Park, but there may have been something before those.
Angle-plex Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Ghostbuster 2; Vigo scared the SHIT out of me.
