Thoth Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Ladies and gentlemen... this is it. Get it here. Er, that date should say 2-26-06. The file still works fine, though.
Smartly Pretty Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 For inquring minds: Yes, I did do my homework.
devo Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 All the nervous laughter in this show belongs to me.
Smartly Pretty Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Mine was the "I'm not coughing, really" laughter.
crusen86 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Like they tried to bring back the IGNWF 6 times. They failed each time. I try and delete all new posts. It's fun. And my god Thoth, that was actually entertaining. I want to be in it now. And wow you said all of that as the show finished. Scary. Edited February 27, 2006 by crusen86
super_tigris Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 For the record, it wasn't ME who attempted to bring that back, I just got hooked into doing that shit by Nick (who used to post here) where I did all the work and he cleared it with the admins. So...yeah.
Longdogger_Pete Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 GOdrea's voice sounds like Sara from Knights of the Dinner Table. No offense to GOdrea if you get the reference. Dude, I want in on one of these if you do another.
Smartly Pretty Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Everyone seems to want in on the next one. Chat was awesome tonight.
Guest Evolution Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Being in on the next one would be super, but I'm self-conscious about my roommates listening to me talking about an e-fed online. So hopefully they'll leave soon and I can do this in privacy.
A Happy Medium Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 LESBIAN FOURWAY REFERENCE!!! I was there! Awesome, Thoth.
A Happy Medium Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Also..I was the guy who recruited Ash into XF9. XF9 named next to MC = Good Ash Ketchum and his zany ideas to 'improve' XF9 = Bad
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Ash Ketchum in general = bad And Pete, I totally do not get that reference. Ever.
JHawk Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Somebody PM me a day or two before the next one so I can participate.
the.weej Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I like 'Drea's pronounced southern accent. I wish I had signed up on this one, in retrospect. Having the power of CC would've added an interesting twist to the discussion. Or given me an excuse to laugh maniacally at least once, whatever. -Z
Justice Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 CC calls the next Thoth Report, all for ourselves.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Pronounced southern accent? Bullshittery, Zed. I could have layed on a really thick accent, but didn't. I didn't even say "y'all".
Guest The Satanic Angel Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I'd be the one to say 'y'all', despite never truely being 'southern'.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 There's a ton of stuff I could have said to be super-southern, including 'mash', as in "Did you mash that button?" instead of "Did you push the button?", fixing to do something, as in "I am fixing to punch you in the fucking face." and other vernacularosities. And colloquialismsery. With goblins.
A Happy Medium Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I am glad I have never said that I was fixing to do something, and I still say "you guys" instead of "y'all". *realizes he has actually been in Texas for nearly seven years*
chirs3 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) God damn you people. I just downloaded this, to listen to it before I head to work, and what do I see? Thirty minutes long! Not enough time to listen to it before I head out. So now I have to spend all day at work waiting, agonizing, counting down the seconds until I can come home and listen to it. Grrr... Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Hilarious, and I'm terrified by how much Mag sounds like this really, really douchey kid I know. Not to say that you sound douchey, but you sound kinda like this one douche.
King Cucaracha Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Awesome stuff. Thoth is a Necro Butcher fan? Fantastic. Also, in other news, Thoth if you enjoy Dragon's Gate you should search YouTube for some CHIKARA. It's a US indy fed, but it's lucha based and I think they're influenced by Dragon's Gate too. Lot of comedy and there's some decent wrestling in there too. Pity I don't have any computer time and there's big time difference problems meaning I wouldn't be able to get involved myself. But who knows.
devo Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Hilarious, and I'm terrified by how much Mag sounds like this really, really douchey kid I know. Not to say that you sound douchey, but you sound kinda like this one douche. I knew it was a bad idea to let people hear my voice. Oh well. If I was entertaining, it was worth it.
muzz Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Really good show, with Thoth's radio personality, Magnifico's laughing, Akira showing his wrestling knowledge and then being kicked off and Godrea being Godrea it was a fun listen.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Sorry to be getting to this so late; I can honestly say that it was better than I expected it to be. I didn't get any of the arcade stuff, though, as I haven't set foot in one since they put Marvel vs. Capcom on Dreamcast... aside from my one embarrassing DDR experience, of course... I didn't really notice Drea's accent, as most of my relatives have much stronger accents themselves, but I guessing that she really likes Mitch Hedberg...
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I do, WC. Not sure how you gathered that from the Thoth Report (Then again, I don't remember what I said)
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Your comments about tournaments: when I was listening to it, thought to myself, "that sounds like she stole it from Hedberg."
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 That, and I've never heard anyone else actually use the phrase "all encompassingly."
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Oh, yeah. That. Totally yoinked from Hedberg, who kicks ass.
