December 2001: Vince McMahon steps out of a snowy night into a diner in upstate New York for a meeting with old friend Phil Thomson, now a highly placed government official. Thomson has a strange proposition: creating a new covert black-ops group using the Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment. The WWE's talented men and women are perfect. Highly skilled athletes with the ideal cover, they travel all across the country and the globe; no one would find it unusual to find them in a town one day and gone the next. The government would train and support the wrestlers in any way possible except one: No one could know the truth.

March 2006: The Superstars have been handed their latest assignment: take down a commercial-grade methyl-amphetamine plant that is bankrolling terrorist activities in Europe. Their mission seems simple and straightforward, until a member of their team is taken prisoner. Now all that they've worked so hard for is in jeopardy, and one of their own might be killed....

I guess this is a follow-up to Kane's book...

This book can't be anything but good.

Indeed. I'll be waiting for the paperback though... I'd bet the jobbers are all the "real" secret ops. Richards... Steven Richards. :D

What over-the-top stupid idea would they come up for a book next?

The Gospel According to Shawn

Parts Unknown: Where The Wild Things Are

The Undertaker's Obituaries

Legend Killer Or Be Killed

The Grapefruits of McMahon

I'm (Paper)Back!-Eric Bischoff's Biography

Y'know, Vince may have been crazy before, but why does he insist on flaunting it before us like this?

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I can think of no better black-ops group than a collection of very large people with recognizable features and moderate mainstream popularity. Give me the chapter where Big Show infiltrates a private party and attempts to blend in.

When you need serious help, call THE HOSS SQUAD.

It couldn't be any worse than the real case of Shaq wanting to be an undercover cop to track down child porn dealers.

Shaq: "Yeah, I'd like to buy some child porn"

Child Porn Dealer: "Hey, aren't you NBA Hall-of-Famer-turned-undercover-cop Shaquille O'Neal?"

Shaq: "Uhhh... no."

Child Porn Dealer: "Okay, lemme show you what I got.."

They can use Kendrick and London....

Lord knows no one seen them lately, and they probably can go undercover without difficulty

Yeah, they could do a double shooting star press off a skyscraper, onto the bad guys or something.

I saw El Santo climb on top of a pile of boxes in a warehouse and splash a baddy in one of his movies. It's possible.

It will probably be HHH, in which case, don't worry. He'll no-sell it.

Ugh, good lord this is terrible. Wrestlers as superstar covert operatives?!! WTF??

Oh man, this is so ridiculous they need to create another WWE cartoon totally ripping off X-Men.

- Taker has dark magic powers, shoots lightning and can blow the enemy's cover by turning on all the lights in a room.

- KAAAAAAAANE controls fire, so he can create firewalls. Can be manipulated since he has a weak mind and will do what the voices in his head tell him to do.

- Hogan has his veto power, so if he gets gunned down he can always get back on his feet, laughing like Arnold in Total Recall and walk off.

- The villains will consist of the same returning characters since any new villain will easily be beaten by HHH.

- Vince will be like Dr. Claw. In every episode, he will always get his plans foiled and will fly off to his next HQ cursing that there will be no mistake next time.

One of the evil henchmen will probably be Eric Bischoff, and at the end of the book Vince decapitates him with a chop to the throat, or something.

Nah, the chop is reserved for Khali...or Triple H when fighting midgets.

Good to see Vince is still making casual fans hate his product more.

It's a given that the book will suck. If you want a good fictional book involving wrestlers, read "Goon" by Edward Lee and John Pelan (aka "Old School John"), or "Hoodtown" by Christa Faust.

I bet Vince sleeps with at least one beautiful young model.
