Ok shows tonight. I thought the funniest thing was the White Stripes gag going over the bridge. I don't know why, but I thought that was just fucking awesome.

 

Didn't get a chance to see much of the rest. Had to finish up at my job. But hey, I wanted to make the topic anyways. So here ya go.

I watched most of the Simpsons. Really bad episode. Jumped all over the place, with a couple overly long gags. Seemed like it was very rushed. And nothing was funny.

Was that (Simpson's writer) George Meyer that passed the Simpsons on the street (after passing the Sea Captain)? The dude w/ the odd hat & facial hair? I got a kick out of that. What a random guy to have show up. I liked the 2 ostrich gags, too.

I thought Simpsons was good and AD was okay, but those fucking radio effects on FG REALLY got on my nerves.

I absolutely loved the radio stuff.

 

American Dad was also hillarious..Stan hiding all the food in the pool and it turning into Poltergeist "He never cleaned his plate..he just moved the food. HE..JUST..MOVED..THE FOOD!"

 

War at Home was kind of sort of funny..but stinker of the night was definitely the Simpsons.

There was something on Simpsons I thought was really funny, but I can't remember what it was. Guess it wasn't that good after all. But the Butterfinger gag on Family Guy was great.

Yeah, it was him. He showed up in the Poochie episode (he was pointed out in the commentary on that episode) as one of Krusty's writers, too, so I guess he makes it into the batch of usable background characters.

The funniest part of The Simpsons was the listing of all the jazz acts for the benefit, with "Shakey Premise" one of them. I chose to take that as a self-made jab at the terrible episode. I also found myself questioning the two dumb stories connecting at the same time Lisa said the thought outloud.

 

Rest of the night was pretty good although Peter was perhaps a bit too dumb with Tom Tucker. The Butterfinger joke was good. Good to see gay Kenny back on the War at Home.

I was busy and didn't watch the Simpsons, apparently for the better.

 

AD was much improved over the season premiere.

 

FG was a mixed bag. I enjoyed the dig on wacky radio at first (primarily the soundclips and wacky sound effects), but he really drove it into the ground. The knock on Tim McCarver (McCocksucker) was gold though.

 

WAH was also improved over the season premiere, and I was glad to see Kenny is still there.

Simpsons was kinda lame, the best part was Lisa catching Bart and the jazz guys in the attic with the animals and asking "what are you doing?" Their answer "Not smoking weed"

AD was rather funny. Stan is comic gold. "Is the fat girl going to lead us to Debbie?"

 

 

FG was pretty good I though. The radio gags were great and I enjoyed "The Peanuts Reunion" "I dont give a crap about Woodstock, but OH NOO SNOOOPY"

 

War At Home was decent, glad to see it back this year though. Mikes revenge on his parents questioning was funny (but whats up with his hair? that new do is terrible), as was the terrible singing by the daughter Hilary.

 

Rapparport is great and has fun with this role so I like the show

American dad would be horrible if not for Stan. I liked last season better so far but the show was funny.

 

I loved Family guy. The FM radio bit was great as was the Hot Dog trick.

The line that got the biggest crack out of me on Family Guy was after Lois hit Peter with the frying pan and he said...I can taste the blood!

 

And Lois' response was... "Well, there's a lot of it."

 

It was just the delivery that got me.

Simpons just seems to be REALLY going through the motions at this point. The show needs some kind of shakeup, but I can't imagine what right now.

 

Also, can they do one episode without a band or actor making a special guest appearance?
