Hank Kingsley Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 I really hate how they do that "Stay tuned for more (show)" thing, anyway. Especially something like Scrubs which NEVER uses that extra bumper.
The Electrifyer Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Is there any way of watching the director's cut outside of the US?
Hank Kingsley Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 nbc.com/TheOffice still has it, though it's broken into parts and you have to wait through some commercials.
The Electrifyer Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Yeah, but they don't allow viewers in Canada to watch.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Thankfully, my faith in awards shows is slightly restored as the cast of The Office just won at the SAG Awards for best ensemble in a comedy series. Â Steve also won with the cast of Little Miss Sunshine for best film ensemble.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 hot newz from Jenna Fischer's blog:  In officeland…our newest scripts are SO GOOD that I actually yelped during our latest script reading. When I heard the plot of our next script I gasped! I wish I could say more. I think you will be very pleased. There are lots of cringy, wonderful, funny moments. And some very touching ones as well. This week we are shooting with hot shot director Joss Whedon! This has been especially exciting for me because I already knew Joss. (He has known my husband for a long time.) Joss has quickly become one of our favorite directors. The crew loves him. He's a huge fan of the show and therefore gets really into every detail of the show. He watches us even when we are in the background of a scene and compliments our smallest of choices. It's been a total dream. I'm currently the background of a scene and I can see him hunched over the monitors watching a scene and giggling like a little girl. I'm going to miss him.
C Dubya 04 Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 Jenna might be the most fan friendly actress/actor/celebrity ever.
megaadvice Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 As a huge fan of the UK Office and after watching the first episode which was basically was nearly exactly the same as the UK one I was not holding out much hope for the American one being any good. Â However I have got to say I really love it now. I watched a few season 2 eppys when they were up on youtube (I need to get the season 2 DVD) and have watched every eppy so far this season. They have especially captured well the Jim/Pam stuff and Steve Carell has grown on me a lot. The US Office have also used to backround characters very well which has added an extra element to the show. Â What is everyones fav episode so far this season? Aside from the obvious ones like A Benihana Christmas and The Return, I really liked "The Convention", it didnt get much love on most of the forums at the time of airing but their are just so great moments. Subtle humor, laugh out load moments, and a few emotional ones aswell. If you get a chance I would say re watch it.

treble Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Ed Helms is bumped up to series regular. Â http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070201/tv_nm/helms_dc_2
Hank Kingsley Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 The article sez Rashida is still recurring. Â I think Helms will be a case like Melora Hardin or David Denman, where when he's in an episode he's listed as a star but not otherwise. They pretty much pushed his annoyance to the edge last episode, so I'm sure we're at least getting a break from him for awhile, even if it's not "5-10 weeks."
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 "I got all the foot off of it."
Justice Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Michael getting advice from Ben Franklin is surreal. Â But him asking the stripper for help is even MORE surreal.
Gary Floyd Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 "It makes you wonder why Ben Franklin can become President but Elizabeth can't"
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Once again, just about everything Dwight said was hilarious. Â "Text him back to say 'mostly'" (re: Is she [stripper] hot) Â "I don't care what Jim says, I'm 99% certain that's not really Ben Franklin"
Hank Kingsley Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 I love the new Roy. Â "It's moving...and sexy. Her art."
Guest cardsfan31 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 secrets secrets are no fun secrets secrets can hurt someone
Justice Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Dwight questioning 'Ben' was hilarious. Â "Are you near-sighted or farsighted?" Â "Both, actually, which is why I invented bifocals." Â "AAARRRRRRRRGH!"
A Happy Medium Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Creed going caveman on his steak was fairly hilarious.
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Jim mentioning wikipedia was nice.
Ravenbomb Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Those must've been some tough steaks. I got takeout once and got a steak, and they only gave us plastic spoons. I had very little trouble eating my steak.
A Happy Medium Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Mmmhm...steak with the essence of Scott flaked into it.
bob_barron Posted February 2, 2007 Author Report Posted February 2, 2007 Dwight was amazing in this episode. Â And the cold open was fantastic
Lord of The Curry Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 I'm on the fence on this one because I felt the Pam/Jim/Karen thing fucked up the flow of what was otherwise a competent episode. Pam's sleep speech was weird and the Pam/Karen confrontation seemed forced. So, Jim tells Karen he still has feelings for Pam and they just.....work it out? Just like that?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 If Jim downplayed his feelings, then yeah I could see Karen just hoping for the best and going along with it.
death_by_burrito Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Is there anyway that I can watch this episode online? My tv fucked up and missed the final 15 minutes of the show.

I think the implication is they just had a lot of sex.
