As the most prolific member, I feel apt to examine the science behind what has made these threads great, memorable, and all-around awesome. With such an incredible cast of posters like "Star Ocean 3" and "Rob Edwards," who can resist a look into this?

A site with such a glamorous history demands a list such as this! Yes, there is the Classic Folder, but how much can you really trust a collection like that? What we need is a true look back. We must never forget the special moments these threads have given us. Some of them are good, some are disgusting, others could only be described as bad, but it is this unique badness that predominantly deals with existing states of affairs, and insofar as it is possible to be amoral in its descriptions, it seeks a positive analysis of social affairs – e.g., constitutional issues, voting behavior, the balance of power, the effect of judicial review, etc. Political philosophy generates visions of the good social life: of what ought to be the ruling set of values and institutions that combine men and women together. The subject matter is broad and connects readily with various branches and sub-disciplines of philosophy including the philosophies of law and of economics. This introduction skims the most relevant theories that the student of political philosophy is likely to encounter. I get really uncomfortable when there are two anchorwomen on the news. It's weird.
