Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 "deadliest shooting massacre in american history" dun-dun-dun i love you, cnn. gotta caption everything. and this shit can happen anywhere. at any university. with way deadlier results. think of a gunman invading a lecture theatre of 200 students? one door, blocked by a guman. thats scary. i'm surprised this gunman didn't kill more people. you know, considering he had two kicks at the can. boy, does this security/police look like dunces. get ready to pay up. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Honestly, I do think the video game industry is going to take some heat on this.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Of course it will. The Down's Syndrome bloc speaks very loudly in America.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 it will, a bit. ultimately the fact that there were two shootings and all of the circumstantial information surrounding it will be the big story. and rightfully so. it needs to be addressed. personally, i think it was horribly handled, and would be enraged if this was my school. EricMM 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Personally? I think the focus should fall on either the American Media or the American Populance, who absolutely gush over these sensational stories. For the most part these seem to be guys who are just looking to go out in some huge act of...clear anger. They want the display and the ignobility. We give it to them every time. Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 i agree with this whole heartidly. in fact as i was watching all of it, i said to the personal beside me that anyone who is suicidal or upset can either kill themselves & be forgotten or they can go out with a bang. the attention you'll get after being ignored and down-trodden for your entire life. but thats the macro vantage point, microscopically there are things specific to this case which will need addressing across all campuses in north america...or even the world. snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 We should blame the History Community. They still go on and on about Vlad the Impaler, Hitler, etc. These murderers nowadays (can't blame them!) clearly realize that this is their ticket straight to immortality. migoli 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 The craziest part to me is this guy had 2 hours to walk around and that he actually killed 30+ people, he clearly knew how to handly whatever kind of gun he was running around with
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 A criminal profiler on CNN a few minutes ago said that we need to get rid of violence/porn/video games - she always thinks that "more law abiding individuals should be allowed to carry a gun". Ridiculous. Let's have a ton of ordinary citizens become heroes and take care of the bad guys, who needs a police force then? This is a truly sad event, and it frightens me even more when my fiancee is currently attending college, and there are plenty of people there that look like they are about to snap. I wonder how long before another copy cat campus killing spree happens?
ZGangsta 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 What I don't get so far, if it's true (and you should never take what the media says as fact, especially after Columbine where %90 of the 'facts' about what happened turned out to be bullshit ), is that the 2 hour gap where they did nothing was due to the authorities thinking it was a domestic situation in the dorms. How do they get that idea if the guy had enough armament to kill 32 people?
-DeN- 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Dozens of innocent people getting killed = Ratings bonanza. The cable "news" networks are all busting out produced-on-the-fly commercials about this. What a wonderful world.
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Surely they thought it was a domestic situation. They cannot respond to a shooting like its going to esculate into a mass-killing, they respond with necessary force, and if they find no evidence suggesting more criminal activity, they leave. tpww7 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 They need someone else to do this press conference. This chief of police is getting twisted in his own words way too much.

The cable "news" networks are all busting out produced-on-the-fly commercials about this. What a wonderful world. You KNOW they were giddy since they've been covering the racist radio guy for way too long. "Thank god we don't have to interview any more well-spoken black people. Now we get to use our serious music and talk about our favouritest thing ever: Record-setting Death toll."

theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 He had some really nice weaponary there, if that is really the man behind the killings. Interesting to see him on a Marine Corps base, possibly a ex-Marine?
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Also, he has a really nice camera for the pictures he's posted. He's definitely gone through something bad recently, his entries are all pretty emotional.
cbacon 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Rumours from unreliable internet sources: "the gunman was an Asian foreign exchange student who's girlfriend he suspected was sleeping with a professor. last I heard both her and the professor were dead. He apparently snapped. Second hand information (from students at the school) so we'll see what eventually turns up, but this is what I know so far."

Mik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 His smoking hot girlfriend cheated on him and he went nuts and killed a bunch of people. Case closed. He's never doing better than that anyway. I deduced that from the fact that he was getting all emo on his blog listening to "What Goes Around" by JT on one of his blog posts. I'm shocked how much he looks like my friend Frolich.
