This is true. My mom grew up in the fifties, and if there was a unmarried teenage girl who became pregnant, the family pretty much shipped her away to relatives out of state (or at least the hell away from their town of residence) until after the kid was born. Frankly, this story would be a lot hotter if those three sisters had been good-looking.

"Damnation Game" is perhaps my favorite of Barker's works (and I've enjoyed just about all of them), and quite frankly (though I'm likely in a minority here), I view it to be one of the best horror novels of the past 30 years. Barker was on FIRE with his horror fiction in the 80s. He since drifted more towards dark fantasy, with varying results, but his 80s work (the Books of Blood, Weaveworld, etc.) was fantastic.

Don't forget that he's complaining about another messageboard on this board because another messageboard is complaining about this messageboard on their board. Yeah, it does just seem like a lot of work to complain about another messageboard when the complaint about the other messageboard is that they complain too much about this messageboard.

Madagascar is a possibility, though I don't really think it'll surpass ROTS. Batman Begins in the middle of June will knock whatever is at #1 at the time right out, though.

There are two flaws with Moonves' plan re: Joan of Arcadia's cancellation. 1. Young people don't watch as much TV on Friday nights because young people are more likely to be out than at home watching some dumb TV show. 2. Even if they were home on a Friday night, they're not going to watch a show with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Talking to dead people.

Saw it at the Uptown today. Felt like a total geek afterwards and was extremely ashamed / disappointed with myself. Anyway, definitely the best of the three prequels. Better even than Return of the Jedi, but not bette than A New Hope or Empire. Does NOT make up for the first two being so mediocre / bad, and in fact, only highlights their lesser worth because those two films should have been as good as this one, had Lucas tried hard enough. Good "final" effort. Up until they put out a TV show, which will probably be cheesy, and not in the good way, cause I doubt they'll have the budget for all the pretty special effects to make up for its faults. I still say the Extended Universe stuff, for the most part, is much better. I think I'll go read the X-Wing books again.

I'd only be slightly interested if a) he comes back as an actual wrestler, not just a guy who comes out and wastes 20 minutes talking to the crowd before stunning someone, and b) he puts people over in actual feuds. Since neither is likely to happen, who gives a shit.

Not to nitpick, but it really should be "AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels RE-SIGN". For a second there, I saw the thread title, and thought that they had both just quit the company. Outside of a higher paycheck and greater financial security, though, you can't really make an argument that either man would be booked better in the WWE than they would in TNA. Even if either man ever did make it there, they're styles would be toned down so much that they wouldn't be nearly as entertaining as they are today.

Not really sure of the benefit of hiring Gail Kim when they have nothing resembling a women's division.

I'd say Rudo is or was one of my favorites. The problem is that when people disagree with him, they're usually extremely outclassed when it comes to making their points clear. Good point. 12 people seem to think otherwise. Mole isn't so bad anymore though and Flik is alright. Slapnuts should be on this. Kotz absolutely deserves to be on the list. I don't make any judgments of Mole other than the fact that he's one of the Whedon marks, which, actually, means that on some level he probably deserves to be on a worst poster list for that reason alone, but otherwise I think he's okay. Slapnuts shouldn't be on there, neither should Flik, who's a pretty decent fellow. Other than his sigs, I don't think Flik talks about anime that much, unless he's doing it a lot in the Sports folder. I'm a bit surprised that Dama hasn't gotten more votes, honestly.

Try telling that to Superman fans I thought that was the studio's fault. The studio didn't write a shitty script. How do we know it was that bad? The idea of a good script to us is different than what the studio thinks is a good script. I read it and formed my own opinion on it. That's how I form my opinions. Is that a shock? That Bubba's a pussy? The guy's a total asshole. What we should really be up in arms about is the fact that when given the choice between standing up for Cornette, who has been a long-suffering employee who has helped build and prepare at least a dozen (or more) of their current WWE superstars, or Bubba, a guy so stale and boring they have to keep him off television for the time being......they chose Bubba. You should all be outraged.

I look forward to the IWGP title being devalued even further when Tenzan drops the belt in his first title defense to Nakamura. Or Tanahashi. Or someone. But I'm pretty sure they'll job him out the first time around, unless they want him to do a couple time limit draws, because no one in New Japan seems to really care about giving Tenzan a credible title run.
