Guest JericholicEdgeHead Report post Posted August 21, 2003 Why do they waste time putting out DVDs of wrestlers like Brock Lesnar and Trish Stratus??? All of the footage on there will be within the past 1-3 years. I wouldn't buy it or even rent it. The only market they could have on these would be 12 year old kids and I'm not sure how many would actually but it. I really wish they would put out more older classic footage, as in pre "Attitude era" stuff. I would think they would sell A LOT more DVDs that way. The Hulk Still Rules DVD sold, and why....because there was older and rare matches on there than fans and tape collectors would pay for. Why would fans buy a DVD for footage and matches that were on RAW or a PPV that aired only a year or 2 ago?? What made Coliseum Video cool years ago was that they would put matches on there that was shot only for the video or some were MSG matches that a lot of people couldn't see otherwise unless they lived in the NY area. You guys are underestimating this, she's hot, and she has fans across the world. Sunny, Chyna, Sable, Lita, they all got thier own videos, why wouldn't Trish? I mean some of you sound like your pitching for the wrong team with the whole "Trish sucks, bring on Eddie" and the "Give me Molly over Stacy and Trish anyday" attitudes. I thought smarks were Pro-Canada? I would of figured you would of been on her like a smark glued to Benoits nuts. We are pro-Canada, and Trish is actually a decent wrestler. The problem we have with a DVD of her being released is knowing how WWE portrays their women, it'll more focus on things like photoshoots, Gravy Bowl matches, her talking about her trips to other countries, embarassing moments like Vince making her bark like a dog, blah blah blah, instead of her best matches in WWE so far. The WWE doesn't market their product towards wrestling fans, they cater to entertainment fans (aka everybody they can). So, the average Joe off the street is more likely to pick up a dvd with a blonde, bodacious hottie on the cover than one with Benoit grinning with his one missing tooth on the cover with a title that reads: Chris Benoit, Tootless Aggression! Unless he can't read and doesn't know that it is a wrestling DVD he would probably just buy a porn or Playboy DVD. I doubt too many non wrestling fans are going to buy it just because there is a hot blond on it. I like looking a hot blond women and like wrestling and I'm not going to waste my money on it.
