cbacon Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 From WWE.com Well, it dosent invovle RVD, Hurricane or Jericho...but it's something. Nick Patrick for Mike Chicoda. Who's the REAL winner here?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 The FANS!!! You just KNOW that Patrick is going to be involved in the McMahon angle somehow as crooked ref!
Karc Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I'm not sure. I liked Chiota on Smackdown. Is Hebner retiring or something?
tpww7 Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 You gotta be kidding me.... They actually posted this?
Guest Fook Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 What's next? Lillian Garcia for Tony Chimmel?
haVoc Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Well, it's a damn good thing they go out of their way to explain ref trades but not when guys like Bradshaw jump ship. Tell ya the truth, I never paid attention to which show has which refs.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Can I be the first to suggest that they're gonna turn Smackdown into WCW? OMG WTF?!?!!!1
tpww7 Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Then WCW Smackdown will invade Raw led by Bret Hart!! 1wrestling insures me of it.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I thought RAW was turning into WCW?
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 -Nick Patrick jumps to SD and screws Undertaker out of the title at No Mercy- god I hate WWE.
Mecha Mummy Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 ... Okay, so Rodney Mack, Johnny Stamboli, and Bradshaw jump brands and nobody pays attention... so then they decide to tell us about a trade in REFEREES? I'm confused now.
iliketurtles Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 That's kind of weird. Chioda was pretty much the head ref on SD, I wonder why he's going to Raw.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I thought RAW was turning into WCW? WCW was putting on at least a couple entertaining matches every show. With Raw, we're lucky to get 1 every couple shows.
Guest Coffey Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 You know what, Nick Patrick is actually a pretty awful ref. This does have some impact towards me. The best refs are the ones that you can hardly tell that they are there. Earl Hebner and Nick Patrick do not fall into that category. They both suck. I like Mike Chioda.
The Tino Standard Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 That's kind of weird. Chioda was pretty much the head ref on SD, I wonder why he's going to Raw. That's exactly what I was wondering.
The Tino Standard Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Returning to RAW brings back memories for [Chioda] of the original days of the show, refereeing matches like 1-2-3 Kid vs. Razor Ramon in the electric atmosphere of the Manhattan Center. Yeah, and he'll be in front of crowds about the same size as he saw in the Manhattan Center too.
starvenger Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 That's kind of weird. Chioda was pretty much the head ref on SD, I wonder why he's going to Raw. I thought that was Hebner, seeing as he gets a lot of the main events...
ISportsFan Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I thought the head refs were pretty obviously Earl Hebner on Raw and Mike Chioda on Smackdown, but I guess they prefer Patrick (who I do not really like) over Chioda (who I really do like). Also, Raw has all the really good refs now. I really miss Charles Robinson since I don't really watch Raw anymore. And now I'm gonna miss Chioda. Jason
dubq Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Heh, WWE.com is using IGN's advertising system..
humongous2002 Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I heard they also traded HHH's sledgehammer to SD for Cena's chain necklace only in WWE.
NYU Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Holy shit man, Smackdown is going to crumble without Mike Chioda. He's the one that's always putting the other refs over. Who's going to do it now? Jimmy Korderas? He's so shot up with steroids that he can barely move. And don't even get me started on Brian Hebner's politics. The only reason he has his job is because Earl Hebner is screwing Brian's mother. God, Smackdown is just gonna SUCK NOW ! Nick Patrick may be flexible, but he has no mic skills and just can't tell a story in the ring, by gawd.
Austin3164life Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 I like Mike Chioda and Tim White (the pale fat guy) as referees. They're usually impartial and fast-paced.
Youth N Asia Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Wow, that's really worth mentioning. [/sarcasm]
iamsherm Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 The best refs are the ones that you can hardly tell that they are there. No way! I contend the best referee of all time was Mark Curtis with WCW. The guy would get so involved with the match that he would actually flail his arms right as the wrestlers performed their move. You could always tell he was there ... and I never complained. He actually seemed like he enjoyed what he did.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Dave Hebner no longer refs. He didn't say why.
justsoyouknow Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 And don't even get me started on Brian Hebner's politics. The only reason he has his job is because Earl Hebner is screwing Brian's mother. Aren't they brothers? Do the incest angles ever stop?
KTID Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Dave Hebner and Earl Hebner are brothers. Brian Hebner is Earl Hebner's son.
Tawren Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Why the fuck would SD trade their top ref? That makes no sense.
