Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Some other early selections of mine included Soundgarden's Superunknown, then Nevermind, of course. There was a Marilyn Manson phase in there, too. It started getting ugly in my early teens, with a lot of Smashing Pumpkins. Slayer finally really hit me in the teeth right before high school, then I discovered the extreme stuff in about tenth grade. It was weird, because my peers were all in the high school retro poster/t-shirt classic bands phase, like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, or else total pop stuff, or rap. I knew one guy who knew of some sicker stuff, and a lot of industrial, so I formed a band with him immediately.
