BHK 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 INTERIM GM EUGENE July 5, 2004 Throughout its incredible 10-plus-year history, Monday Night RAW has featured some of the most unpredictable moments in sports-entertainment history. But this Monday night's show -- live from Winnipeg, Manitoba -- may just be the most unpredictable, the most outlandish, that we've ever seen. General Manager Eric Bischoff is taking a vacation this Monday night, and he announced that he's handing over control on a one-week interim basis to his nephew, Eugene! That means Eugene will be calling the shots on RAW! With just six days to go before Vengeance, absolutely anything -- and we really mean that -- could happen this Monday night on RAW. And don't forget that Winnipeg is the place where Chris Jericho grew up. What will Y2J -- who will face Batista at Vengeance -- have in store for his hometown fans (and for Batista) this Monday night? Watch Monday Night RAW at 9/8 CT on Spike TV to find out. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 So what will happen...........handicap matches for everyone? I'm predicting that for Edge and Benoit. For Jericho, I say he'll get a good match with somebody, and then get destroyed by Batista after the match.
ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 So what will happen...........handicap matches for everyone? Now, were you being serious, or was this a pun? If it isn't going to be handicap match mania tonight, though, the only other main event I think we'll get is a 6-man with Evolution against Benoit/Jericho/Edge. Or, the dreaded main event interview. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Eugene obviously wouldn't put himself on the faces side. I'd say that if anything, the likely main event is HHH and Eugene vs. Benoit and Regal.
Garth 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Benoit, Edge, & Jericho Vs. All 4 of Evolution? Flair at ring side. Or Eugene on the faces side That wouldn't make any sense though as Eugenes been siding with Evolution as of late, so maybe Batista, HHH, Orton and Eugene vs Edge, Jericho and Benoit. MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 I wouldn't be surprised to see Eugene book all kinds of gimmick matches . . . a cage match, a mini Royal Rumble, a 2 out of 3 falls bout, Street Fight, ect . . . almost like the ol Spin the Wheel Make the Deal concept except the wheel is spinning in Gene-O's head. Guest Kageho Report post Posted July 5, 2004 It's definitely going to be interesting to see what they'll have in store for tonight's show. Although, I don't think that HHH will have as much influence on tonight's show as he'd like. Considering they are protraying Eugene as a wrestling savant, then it is only logical (logic and WWE don't go well though) that he'd be able to at least plan out a show that makes sense wrestling wise and that HHH can't really argue against. Then again, that would just be the mark in me talking.

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 This makes no sense from a story wise standpoint that Bischoff would grant control of the show over to Eugene.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 It does only in the sense that Bischoff loves HHH, and so does Eugene.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 It does only in the sense that Bischoff loves HHH, and so does Eugene. I guess, but it doesn't make sense that Bisch has been trying to get Eugene destroyed/to quit the last couple of weeks, and now he gives him free reign in his absence. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 I wouldn't say it doesn't "make sense" but I guess since he didn't get rid of him last week he might as well use him to his advantage. That's the kind of guy Bischoff is.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 It does only in the sense that Bischoff loves HHH, and so does Eugene. I guess, but it doesn't make sense that Bisch has been trying to get Eugene destroyed/to quit the last couple of weeks, and now he gives him free reign in his absence. Bischoff knows that Triple H has Eugene in his pocket and that Triple H can likely manipulate Eugene into having things go his way. Bischoff also knows that when Triple H is finished with Eugene, he's going to devaste him emotionally, which would (in Bischoff's eyes) send Eugene away forever when his favorite wrestler and only "friend" betrays him. It makes total sense storyline wise.

I guess, but it doesn't make sense that Bisch has been trying to get Eugene destroyed/to quit the last couple of weeks, and now he gives him free reign in his absence. Well, if he makes an embarassment of RAW then maybe Bischoff could guilt him into thinking he's a failure and make him quit. Makes sense from that angle. I say Benoit vs Evolution with Flair as special guest ref.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Maybe we'll get a Over the Edge '98 situation, with Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and Edge vs. Batista, Randy Orton, and Ric Flair. Like Chris Benoit pins Ric Flair and Triple H tells Eugene to make the match 2/3 Falls, Randy Orton uses a chair on Edge and Triple H teels Eugene to make the match No Disqualification, Batista attacks Chris Jericho outside of the ring and Triple H tells Eugene to make the match Falls Count Anywhere. Just show how much influence Triple H has over Eugene to add to the inevitable backstab. Kane vs. William Regal will probably be booked to, and possibly backfire with Matt Hardy interfering. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 5, 2004 will Eugene book any PPV matches?
BHK 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Seeing as the show is 6 days away, and they have 3 matches, I'd have to think so.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 5, 2004 well...A woman's title/intergender tag match is assured, as is Kane/Matt NO DQ... that's five... Eugene...being the mark he is should book himself in a match with his buddy Ric...whom makes it clear when he's out the room that he HATES Eugene. there's 7...maybe a random match like Le Resistance Vs Tajiri.Rhyno or superhereos. Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Eugene's character is leaning way too far toward "retard" and not "wrestling savant". He still acts like a moron in the ring and uses the moves that his "heroes" use. He hasn't had any really quality matches and hasn't been given the chance to either. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 I'm thinking, YOH, that most likely Eugene will show off his wrestling savantness tonight. I mean, he'd absolutely have too if he's booking matches. He'd have to make them have a reason or at least give off the first time someone faced someone else in a match of that kind. ...I'm also expecting Eugene to book HHH in a match that he doesn't want, but accepts being in because Eugene has done everything else right for him. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted July 5, 2004 VENGEANCE IS THIS WEEK!?!! Sorry for the caps, but I'm a little surprised.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 5, 2004 anyone hoping he books HHH in another Blindfold match? Eugene: hey! Triple H...Yeah I kinda booked you in a match tonight too HHH: WHAT? Eugene! i told you my arm still hurts and i need to rest for Sunday. Eugene: I'm sorry but when remember when you beat D'Lo brown in a blindfold match? and you peaked through it when the ref wasn't looking? THAT WAS FUNNY! So i made another Blindfold match for you...against Maven. GOOD LUCK TRIPLE H!
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Isn't Trish injured? "Women's title/intergender match is assured". Also, the PPV IS ON SUNDAY?!?!?!? Wow, that was quick. The Bash really threw me off. Anyone think Eugene books he and Triple H against La Resistance to "be the tag champ with his best friend?" Could happen, and makes La Res's reign seem more credible if they can get past them. I dunno, totally confused over what to expect tonight. I'd like a gimmick match show though...at least we'd get MATCHES instead of interviews and Diva Search info.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 5, 2004 which is why i said the title match is assured almost...because Trish will likely drop the title...so if they make it a Intergender Match...Tomko can lose the title for her and eventually X comes back and Fires Tomko for causing him to lose his match to Jericho (and thus injuring his back), failing to finish of Jericho and Trish losing the woman's title. Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted July 6, 2004 A gimmick-match filled evening would be nice for a change, actually. I'm sure it'll be the HHH and Evolution show (co-starring Eugene) of course with the absolutely necessary Diva search information that'll suck up about 20 good minutes of airtime. I'm betting on maybe a half an hour of actual wrestling matches. That might even be generous.
