Guest LL Cool M Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Hey, Everybody. This year is my last year of High School(thank god). It feels good to be a senior. But I Already hate school, and I want to get out as quick as possible. But I do like my Economics Class(and hate Spanish II). So My Question to my fellow SmartMarks, How the hell was your senior year in high school?
Guest Nanks Report post Posted September 8, 2004 I did sweet fuck all all year outside of sports. At the end of the year I worked my arse off, got the result I needed and got on with things. When you hit college you will quickly realise just how shit high school was.
the max 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 The only fun part was not being there. I had gotten my license three weeks before school started, so I skipped A LOT. I had to buckle down in the winter time to maintain a GPA for hockey, but other than that, I did fuck-all. The only classes that I had to pass were English and "Life Skills". The rest of my time was spent in the computer lab, video productions lab, and robotics lab. I was already over the required credits to graduate (we needed 100 credits in our four years of high school to graduate, and I was at 109 going into the year). Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 8, 2004 I got fucked up and played around in the chemistry lab. Every day. Then I went to a music class and listened to cds.
Alro 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Mine was fun. I managed to take all my hard classes (calculus, physics, half of AP English) my first semester so that the only thing I had to worry about my last semester was the second half of AP English. Second semester included tennis season, so on top of doing next to nothing, I got to leave early for practice and matches. Being a senior on a sports team just added to the fun. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Didn't give a shit about school anymore by then since it was the final year so I became a total slacker in class not giving a fuck enjoying those final days. The teacher would be lucky if I even showed up half the time. I hated the place, but it made up for itself when I would just bullshit with my classroom homies. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 My senior year was a good time. At my school you could sign your own tardy or absent notes as soon as you were 18, and I turned 18 during November of my senior year ... so I missed school A LOT. Spent most mornings getting high and then surfing, and then making it in just before the 11:00 am cut-off. (if you got there before 11 it was just a late day but if it was after 11 it counted as a fully missed day). Me and a friend had three free classes in a row the second semester so went to our friend Meghan's house to watch TV and get high, and then swim when it got later in the year. Like Max, I had more than enough credits going into my final year, so only had to pass the slacker classes to graduate (e.g. photo, drama, & art) and yet almost managed not to graduate on time. (I got kicked out of photography and had to basically beg, borrow and steal my way back into class in order to graduate.)
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Gotta go waaaaay back to remember this one...let's see....I had 2 gym classes, 2 study halls, only 3 real classes and I got early release (i.e. seniors who qualified got out a period earlier than the juniors and below)...plus I lucked out and had my lunch period and one of my study halls with all my closest friends...also, I had 5 more credits than I really needed to graduate by the end of my junior year...so yeah you can imagine I had an easy go of it... Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 It was easy. We had to take 6 classes, and I guess I made it harder on myself than I needed to by opting for 3 AP courses. Still, the workload wasn't bad, and I was able to do most of my homework during my free periods in school. It was the easiest of my 4 years in high school, despite the fact that the courses were the most challenging I'd had.
Guest Fook Report post Posted September 8, 2004 I spent the first half of the year working my ass off. Once I got the high marks and was given early acceptance to the university I wanted, I started slacking off a lot more. The second half of the year was more relaxing. Like nl5xsk1, I could sign myself in and out of school when I turned 18. I did it enough times that the ladies at the attendance office all knew me on a first name basis. Guest Sturgis Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Since my Senior year was my 5th year there I sat on my ass and did nothing. I pass all of my "real" classes, but I still had elective credits to make up(which pissed me off to no end) so I did nothing but play cards with my friends, skip class, and walk around the halls without a pass(I was in good with just about every teacher and administrator there). AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Not as fun as it could have been in hindsight. At least I had kick-ass lunch periods both semesters.
redbaron29 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 I had a blast. I got to leave at 10 to go to college. I didnt have to be at college till 11:30 and got out at 1:30. So basicly i didnt do jack shit. It was fun, I got alot of freedom that year. Although minus my core group of friends I really didnt get much of a chance to see anyone I went to school with. (which was equally cool i guess)

Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 For me it was totally rubbish, although I know a lot of people probably thought that it was the best year ever. I found it very depressing. Because of timetable clashes, I spent a lot of time on my own, mostly in the library. I was already in University, so I didn't need to bother with any school work. When I did meet up with my friends, I looked around and realised that we were in the smallest group (4 or 5 of us) within the whole year, which upset me at the time. Plus I developed a crush on this girl in my English class, which didn't go away until the summer (I saw her again afterwards and she had crap hair, so I was happy). I didn't go to my end of year dance because of her, but all I missed were bad jokes and teachers making fools of themselves. The only high-point of the whole year was more or less writing the yearbook, which makes me proud, although I've never read it since it was released. In a word: CRAP! Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted September 8, 2004 As I was kicked out of my school my junior year (long story) I was kinda stuck in what i thought was a boarding school for my senior year, only problem being instead of a boarding school it was a "center for emotional development" or some shit. So, as fun was bad, I was able to instigate fights, annoy staff by having fun out of spite, fucked a nymphomaniac from Memphis while high on Vicodine (had more or less damaged my knee ice skating, & the school refused to take me to PT, so i got loaded on Vicodine), & just kinda enjoyed things to the best of my abilities. Not the "Wonder Years" type of shit, but aside from being fucking awful, it was a blast.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 I did fuck all, graduated with a decent 2.48 GPA (for all four years) after three years of doing little, if any, homework, and had the most fun of any of my years in school. I got along with all but three of my teachers (luckily, nobody else got along with them, either), and outside of school I was out practically every night doing something. Also lost my virginity at the beginning of senior year, and started growing my hair back to the length it is now (in my sig). So yeah. Senior year will be fun unless the teacher of the one class you ABSOLUTELY need to pass is a complete cunt and doesn't know how to teach.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Ah, my year's looking to be good. We go on the Day 1, Day 2 system. Day 1 is AP Calculus (I like math, so it shouldn't be too bad), Chemistry (SO BORING!), English (EVEN MORE BORING!), and Christian Ed. (Slacker course). Day 2 is PE (YES!), Spare (YES!), AP Art History (YES!) and Physics (BOOO~!). So class wise, not too hard. And our volleyball team is going to Hawaii this year, plus I get to go to New York for Art History. IF I don't have fun this year, there is something wrong with me. That's cool, I had it in my last two years at my old high school(BTW, Did I metion that I 'm at a new school?). My Schedule is pretty cool too. Here's my classes. 1.No Class(Senior Exempt) 2.Economics CP 3.Libary Aid 4.Math 5.Spanish II 6.British Literature(English IV) Easy Schedule, except that I hate Spanish 2. My GPA Right now is a 2.22, so by the end of the year, my GPA should be atleast, like, 2.60 or something. But like Czech, My junior year was fun. My grades were the highest it's ever been. I'd Averged 2.80 last year. But We should see if this year is great.

teke184 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 I spent the first 3 months of my senior year on crutches because of a football injury... My junior year was a LOT more enjoyable than my senior one, although the above experience DOES color that a bit.

Eclipse 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 My senior year was great, but I didn't like school I was in. The only cool parts of senior year was... -I had a schedule that allowed me to leave school at 1:30pm! That rocked. -I had some of the coolest classes ever! Well, the ppl in it were cool. But the classes were hard, with term papers as part of requirements to pass the classes and to graduate! -The End of the Year Party the school gave us was quite an experience. It was awesome. I miss having the times at high school though. Now, I have TOO MUCH responsibility...
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 I had more then the 250 credits required to graduate, by the beginning of my Senior year, so technically the only classes I had to take were the ones ONLY offered during Senior year, like Government, International Relations, and Economics. So needless to say, it was a lot of fun. My friends had just moved out since they turned 18, halfway through the school year, so there was a lot of drinking, smoking and overall partying going on. Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted September 10, 2004 Senior year was awesome. Good friends, good times. The classes were easy and I spent the majority of the time in my computer classes playing SNES Roms when the teachers weren't looking.
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2004 Well since I was basically done with high school after my junior yr, I went to McDonalds for breakfast during class or I would just not go to class and then mark myself present for the last three hours of the day since i worked in the office. I actually ended up getting a 4.125 that semester which was the highest I ever had in high school.
