My choice is the KC station 96.5. Basically, it's alternative. That's one way to put it. But here's their top 7 for tonight

#1 Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day

#2 Take It Away - The Used

#3 Mr. Brightside - The Killers

#4 Astronaut - G. Love

#5 I'm Not Ok - My Chemical Romance

#6 I Love You Cause I have To - Dogs Die In Hot Cars

#7 Give It All - Rise Against

plus there's some other really good stuff.

(this topic may apply to more than just music though)

How about you all?

I listen to KROQ in LA, mostly what your station is I guess. Here's their current Top 10 most played.

Green Day  Boulevard of Broken Dreams

U2  Vertigo

Interpol  Slow Hands

The Killers  Mr. Brightside

Linkin Park  Breaking the Habit

Muse  Time is Running Out

Green Day  American Idiot

Jimmy Eat World  Pain

The Music  Breakin'

Velvet Revolver  Slither

I also sometimes listen to Arrow 93.1, which is classic rock, and 97.1 KLSX for Howard Stern and sometimes a latenight talk show called John and Jeff. For sports, ESPN Radio 710 or 1540 the Ticket.

Pittsburgh market:

WPGB 104.7 FM -- right-wing talk radio station; local morning guy, Beck, Boortz, Hannity and Savage

KDKA 1020 AM -- right-wing talk radio station, Rush and some local people

FOX Sports 970 AM -- Tony Bruno, Jim Rome and JT the Brick

ESPN Radio 13something-or-other AM -- Mark Madden

Music radio stations can lick my nuts...

Damn, kkk isn't too far away from me. If you're gonna listen to a Pittsburgh music sation, try 105.9 or 102.5--They're not the best for tunes, but they're passable.

I'm in Wheeling, WV and the radio FUCKING SUCKS. I have Eagle 107.5. They're the typical, run-of-the-mill classic rock with the "new rock" station. They play shit from the Stones to Nickleback. But mostly, it's Nickelback and 3 Doors Down, with the classic rock staple "Get the Led Out" at 9:00 every night.

I listen mostly to the ESPN Radio station and, on occasion, 1170 AM, WWVA. They have Rush's crazy ass, along with Glenn Beck.

For the most part though, I listen to cd's, due to the sucky quality of radio in The Valley.

I only listen to talk radio. As far as music, I buy CD's, I don't listen to the radio in regards to FM stations. The most FM I listen to occasionally will be KMEL 106.1 in the Bay Area. I can't find a decent rock station in the Bay Area. (any help with that would be great) Other than that, it's all AM on my dials with..

1050/680 (Sports talk radio, both work in connection with each other to do the national sports talk shows like Jim Rome and Tony Bruno and also do 49ers, Giants, and Golden State Warriors games)

910 (Conservative talk radio)

810 (Liberal/middle of the road talk radio)

560 (Conservative talk radio and the Home of the Oakland Raiders and yes, that is an odd couple)

Hear, hear. I've not listened to a music station, regularly, in about 5 years.

Ditto to all of them, except WFAN. You should try and see if you can get 94.7 in. I believe it's a Delaware station, but they usually play some great shit.

No dice. I actually live NW of the city in the suburbs, so I must be out of range.

Calgary:

FAN 960: Jim Rome, ESPN radio and local sports talk

CJAY 92: Pretty much the only rock station here that plays old and new music

Q-107: Classic rock

God, I can't stand Q-107. "The story is in the music". Blegh.

I'm 99 percent sure he's on WWVA -- have you ever listened to Quinn in the morning?...

I haven't listened to Quinn, at least not that I know of. Is he any good? Of course, he can't be any worse than Eagle 107.5's morning show guys, John Boy and Billy. It's stupid redneck garbage for abot 5 hours. I'd kill for Mancow right about now.

In the van, the 6 presets are:

1 - Bob FM from Ottawa ('best of 70s, 80s, and Whatever' is their tagline. Some decent stuff on there, sometimes)

2 - K-Rock from Kingston (mix of older and newer stuff)

3 - The Bear from Ottawa (pretty much the same stuff as K-Rock)

4 - CHEZ from Ottawa (Classic rock)

5 - The Fox from somewhere in New York state (classic rock)

6 - Bob FM from Brockville/Kingston (yeah, there are 2 Bob FMs in this market. Same basic stuff as the one from Ottawa)

Sometimes, at night, I can pick up WFAN when they boost up their signal. It comes in and out, but it's usually pretty strong.

97.7 HTZ FM is good around here.
