Open the Muggy Gate Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Ok... WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WWE?! Chuck Palumbo, given a good chance, and not the gay gimmick of doom, can go far in the fed. They just washed that hope away. Nidia...meh... it didn't bother me. Now Gail... this bothered me big time. She was just involved in helping Trish the other night! She's been improving greatly ever since getting away from the high flying and going into the submission wrestling. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING WWE? WHAT?
Black Lushus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I was never interested in Chuck Palumbo, even when he was actually doing something in WCW, hell I totally forgot about that guy until this thread appeared...
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Shocked about both Palumbo and Gail after looking at Heat and RAW, but neither have had any major role of late. The fact that the women's division now consists of Trish, Lita, Victoria, Stacy, and Molly bothers me a little though.
tetsubeav Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Looks like Jazz, Rodney Mack & Stamboli are added to the list of outgoing (sorry if that's already in the thread but I couldn't find it).
IWD Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Looks like Jazz, Rodney Mack & Stamboli are added to the list of outgoing (sorry if that's already in the thread but I couldn't find it). Is that confirmed? Cheers.

brighty Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1282851 "The WWE released Johnny Stamboli, Rodney Mack, Jazz, Gail Kim, Chuck Palumbo and Nidia from their contracts today. We wish them the best in their future endeavors."
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 WTF! Jazz, Mack, and Palumbo had a good gimmick in the works with the gangsta stick! And damn, the women's division is microscopic now.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Pretty soon the Women's division will be down to two women at this rate....and if they keep this up, they may just be setting up a reunification of the rosters. ...I don't know how to feel about that.
Ultra Violence Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Don't forget Stacy may leave now Test has left.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Rodney Mack couldn't even get a KKK member to boo him during his white boy challenges last year even with Long as his manager. I like Jazz for the fact she could work and seemed strong but man she was a beast. Stamboli/Palumbo were part of one of the most and few entertaining aspects of Smackdown last year and that was their skits involving the wrestlers betting on matches. Why they didn't keep running these i'll never know...oh yea I forgot because they were actually interesting and fun to watch. Coincidentally that was the last time A-Train did anything of note when he placed a bet on Benoit who was facing Lesnar later in the night.I can't remember were they went with it but it was one of the cooler things they did with that bit because Train was part of Lesnar's cliq and betting against him. Gail Kim.Would have loved to see her teamed up with Tajiri since WWE usually likes to stick ppl together based on their race. For me I just wanted it because I thought they would play well off of each other. Nidia & Billy Gunn-Never cared for either.
AlaskanHero Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 This is some serious EWR type firing here. All people I would fire if I were playing EWR. Steven Richards and Val are next according to my game. Either way, I'm curious as to who's next to be swallowed by the Great Release Beast.
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Does anyone else see Bischoff returning with the NWO as the explanation for this. RAW's lost a massive amount of their roster (HEAT's going to be real empty...) and I could see WWE bringing in Hogan, Nash, Hall, Waltman, and, dare I say it, even Chyna, to fill these places. After all, star power is what they think they need for ratings, right?
Spaceman Spiff Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Stamboli, too? Damn. Nunzio/Stamboli were actually starting to get over as faces on Velocity. They could've easily run a Dupree/Kenzo vs. Stamboli/Nunzio feud.
Astro7x Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I blame Bush for the loss of more american jobs!
LJSexay Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 this is awful. Releasing JAZZ?!??! what the bloody hell is going on at Stanford?
AndrewTS Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I blame Bush for the loss of more american jobs! Maybe they'll be outsourced to Mexicans?
Guest bigm350 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Stevie Richards and Val Venis better get ready to clean their lockers.
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Stevie Richards and Val Venis better get ready to clean their lockers. And Danny Basham and Akio should live in fear as well... But why do I have the feeling that Scotty 2 Hotty and Hardcore Holly are somehow going to keep their jobs.
AndrewTS Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 But why do I have the feeling that Scotty 2 Hotty and Hardcore Holly are somehow going to keep their jobs. Because WWE may have forgotten they work there?
Downhome Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Does anyone else see Bischoff returning with the NWO as the explanation for this. Maybe not the nWo, but I've predicted that when Bishoff returns from his storyline "vacation", we'll see something pretty major go down. I don't know what, I don't know who will return, but something is going to start up with his return. Also, if WWE keeps it up with letting people go, TNA will be able to create a Heat/Velocity of their own made up totally of all of these WWE wrestlers, heh. I would like to hear a shoot from all nine of these wrestlers, where they let it be known what they feel about the diva search and Tough Enough.
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Maybe they're just trying to poison TNA with injured and so-so workers?
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I think Venis is safe for being in the company for such a long time. He hasn't been a big pain like Billy Gunn. But Shannon Moore and Steve Richards should be scared. Very scared. Does this symbolize an end to the Brand Extension? Cutting all of the fat will mean TONS of more spots on both rosters or just the merging of them.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Jazz is the least over woman on Raw. That's why she was released.
thuganomics Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I doubt WWE has any plans to end the brand extension as that would involve A LOT more cuts, in roster, staff, and titles. My guess is something big is coming to RAW, while some of RAW and OVW's talent will be shifted to Smackdown. I smell either WCW, ECW, or NWO in the future.
razazteca Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Just what I have been waiting for INVASION Version 2 lead by Eric & Paul E. *yawn*

You think gray haired Bischoff will bring back WCW or something? Eh, I don't really see it happening. Though Flair leaving Evolution could be the start of it, and the WWE recently polled its fans on what they thought about Sting...
Enigma Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I bet a lot of the Heat/Velocity guys are really scared right now.
