MikeJordan23 Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I know the Ganso bomb is a diaster waiting to happen, but what else do you consider extra dangerous as a move. The Vertebraebreaker has to be up there too
Youth N Asia Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Any of the SAT/Red/Divine Storm head drop moves...they're completly reckless with each other.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 If RVD still did it, the Van-Daminator is pretty vicious. RVD was on a streak of busting everyone open hardway with it when he came in during the Invasion.
Just John Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Heidenreich's finisher on his first Raw stint that almost killed Stevie Richards twice.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Was that the Wedgie-Chokeslam?
Guest wildpegasus Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Lyger's DDT off of the top rope he used against Benoit, Owen and I believe Nogami and Finlay. Benoit's tombstone off of the middle ropes. Lots of potential danger there. Any headdrops or moves that cause your head to be bounced off of the mat(extreamly dangerous). Kobashi's finisher can be lethal. Just ask Misawa.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Lyger's DDT off of the top rope he used against Benoit, Owen and I believe Nogami and Finlay. I still have nightmares of when he gave Owen that DDT off the top rope. I'd also put Liger's running powerbomb (or running Ligerbomb, same thing) as dangerous. It crippled Droz (by accident) when D'lo Brown did it.
Youth N Asia Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I've always cringed at Homicide's cop killers, a vertabreaker is bad enough...but a running vertabreaker.
iliketurtles Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Owen Driver '97 is just amazing when you watch it. Not in a good way, but just the effect it had on the wrestling business, as well as just the way it flowed with the match. You just watch it and say "...fuuuck." I don't watch much TNA, but the Canadian Destroyer looks insane. The German Suplex are pretty dangerous for the long-term effect as opposed to the immediate effect. Necks, anyone?
Youth N Asia Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I don't think the Canadian Destroyer looks that dangerous. It's pretty much just the guy's ability to backflip and land on top of Petey's legs, I'm sure he does as best he can to pad the fall. And it looks amazing.
Guest BrokenWings Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I think Stan Hansen's lariat in the later years was pretty dangerous, as that point he couldn't see very well and was simply swinging as hard as he could without a clear image as to where it was going.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 The Tiger Suplex has the potential for serious injury.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Hogan's leg drop or the People's elbow
Guest DVD Spree Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Backdrop Driver baby. Remember when Doc was crippling all the luchas during his last WCW "run"? Damn.
Special K Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I gotta say a sit out TD '91 i.e. Kash Money. Anyone can take a move and add 'top rope' to it, but this move is disgusting.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 The Styles Clash, when AJ does it to much larger men, is pretty dangerous.
Youth N Asia Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Yeah, AJ tried to hook it on Joe 3 times at the TPI show this year. By the time he finally got him up I thought he might botch it...but he didn't
evilhomer Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Was that (Heidenreich's finisher) the Wedgie-Chokeslam? No, the Canadian Backbreaker into a shoulder breaker (Papa Shango's finisher). Stevie slipped out of his grasp and was dropped almost directly onto his head.
hbkhhhmark4life Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 the mexican stretch buster (name on the smackdown games) a.k.a. the future shock used by Chris Sabin on TNA is pretty sick in its own right
haws bah gawd Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I would have to go with the Canadian Destroyer and Vertebreaker as the most potentially hazardous moves. The Ganso Bomb ( is it correct that this was only done once?) is pretty sick as well.
Special K Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Ganso bomb as executed by Kawada (has done it twice I believe) is really sick. However, the 'real' Ganso bomb (throwing piledriver) is maybe even worse.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 the mexican stretch buster (name on the smackdown games) a.k.a. the future shock used by Chris Sabin on TNA is pretty sick in its own right Is that the Fisherman Brain-Buster? If not, that's also a move I wouldn't want to take.
Guest BrokenWings Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Ganso bomb as executed by Kawada (has done it twice I believe) is really sick. However, the 'real' Ganso bomb (throwing piledriver) is maybe even worse. Throwing piledriver?! I had never even heard of that! If there's any sort of .gif out there, or any other information in regards to the move (who does it, how often, etc), it'd be appreciated.
Special K Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I just searched for it and couldn't find it. I know I've seen it in a clip. In the clip the guy lifts him up for a piledriver really quickly and just throws him forward as far as he can (about a foot) and the guy takes a head bump completely unprotected, except by his own arms.
BrokenTiger Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 ^ damn, that throwing piledriver just screams danger to me. Anyways, it's the Vertebreaker for me anytime...as even a friend (who hates and view wrestling as fake) marks out for it. Honorable mentions: TD '91, Ganso Bomb, Top Rope DDT....might be others I've forgotten.
Dace59 Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Yes that clip is the Throwing Piledriver, or true Ganso Bomb. I doubt there's any chance of finding a clip of Thesz's original.
