I've seen this a few times, but anytime someone is being dragged or some such and trying to claw their way away and their fingernails peel off, it always gets me.

Oh, also the kid sewn into the cadaver's stomach in Dr. Giggles. I love that movie.

"ass to ass" from Requiem for a Dream. The whole scene with the business men with the flashlights and all that. Also, the look on Jennifer Connelly's face after she gets her smack, and lays on the couch coddling it like a new born baby....lol.

Spiders attack human in The Beyond.

The damn head growing spider legs and those eyeball antennas and crawling away, in The Thing, that isn't so much creepy or disturbing, but it just gave me the "willies"

The "vomit of the innards" from Gates of Hell.

The rape scenes from "I spit on your grave"

I think any scene from Saving Private Ryan is automatically more disturbing than anything from any sci-fi or horror movie.

See, I avoid horror and most sci-fi, so I could only speak from experience.

Oh, and I went back and fixed that post.

Pretty much all of Caligula is disturbing.

Speaking of that flick, and staying on topic, the scene where the dudes are buried up to their necks in the sand and that crazy machine is coming towards them. It's not so much that they're getting their head's cut off by some wacky lawnmower, but the fact that Caligula is laughing his ass off.

*shiver*

and in SPR, Wade is the guy played by Giovanni Ribisi, right? The medic?...if so, yeah, I agree 100% on the disturbingness. Also the scene on Normandy where the dying kid is yelling, "MAMA!! MAMA!!!"...that shit made me cry.

Another movie which intended to be disturbing but parts of which I found very erotic is 8MM. The Greg Darkesque character getting shot with a crossbow was just silly, too.

The snuff film in 8mm would have been disturbing if they made it so the death was unexpected, but from the way it way shot the entire audience knew what was going to happen to that girl.

I heard about it in the book, but I don't know if it's in the film. Anyway, I think it involves him putting a tube to a girl's vagina then putting a rat to run in there, sort of like the opposite of LEMMIWINKS~!

Well thats just mean.

Yeah, that's basically it ... put a tube into the vagina, let rat enter said vagina via said tube, remove tube and sit and watch rat claw it's way out from the inside.

Tasty.

Well, he starved it first, and also stuffed the girl full of some sort of cheese.

when I was a kid the Horse's head scene in Godfather bothered me. Now I mark out.

Yeah, I saw Carrie for the first time when I was seven. Holy fuck.

Also, Killer Klowns from Outer Space gave me nightmares for a good while. It was just the scene with the fat clown luring the little kid to him, repeating in my mind until I woke up.

Really....I found that very sad, but not so much disturbing.

The REALLY disturbing death / scene in that film is towards the end, where the one German soldier (the same one they took mercy on and let live, I think?), "shushes" the Jewish GI as he slowly bayonets him to death. THAT one fucked me up for a while. To this day, whenever I watch that movie, I always fast forward past that scene. It's just too much.

Wow. In comparison, my 'disturbing moments' seem quite...tame.

The rape scene in Stir of Echoes. The plastic over the head, the nails breaking.. just fuck, so wrong.

The entire Adrenachrome scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Not only was it so bad to see Raoul that 'whammed out of his head' - to quote Johnny on the commentary - but the music and demon!Gonzo was just....odd.

Also, the reptile-acid moment in F&L. The first time I saw it, it was just too much. I ended up stopping it and deleting it moments after. 'Course, my curiosity got the better of me, and I ended up downloading it again. Now its one of my fave Depp movies.

Well, the dentist torture scene from Marathon Man still creeps me out to this day. You just feel like you are the one being tortured when you first see it.

The whole thumb-sucking scene in Cape Fear always help me justification of not joining drama class. Overall, just the way De Niro fucks with the family is disturbing.

All of John Waters' Pink Flamingos.

The guys raping the nun in Abel Ferrera's The Bad Lieutenant.

An image that has stuck with me since last year was the last shot from this season's season finale of FX's great Nip/Tuck. Christian is drugged and paralyzed in his bed with serial "disfigurer" The Carver standing over him with a sharp and shiny scalpel. Eyes wide open but physically unable to move, a single tear runs down the helpless Christian's face. The Carver raises his surgical instrument to begin slashing. His arm comes down towards Christian's face and BAM. Cut to credits.

I'm still fucked up over that.
