Mis-heard lyrics

Recommended Posts

Hell, everyone's mis-heard lyrics in a song before, and thought it was something else. Here are some of mine

Partrige Family Theme" All round the world we go shoppin' together"

"Stayin' Alive" by the Bee-Gees-"Beavis is a shakin'"

Vince's "No Chance in Hell" theme-"No Pants! No pants in hell! Or shirts!"

any others from anyone else?

Mannfred Mann ~ "Blinded by the Light"

The word "douche" is nowhere in the song.

Yeah, I'm that kid in the corner

all fucked up and "I wanna so I'm gonna"

For the longest time I couldn't understand the part in quotes.

Oh, and for the longest time on 'intergalactic' The robotic "another dimension" voice was saying "I have an erection". I knew it couldn't be right, but it still sounds like it.

I've heard that before too, but....what the fuck IS he saying then?

I believe it's this:

Wrapped up like a deuce/ Another runner in the night

i'm convinced to this day that Steve Austin's heel (Alliance era) music had the lyrics "my pancakes are living inside you/those pancakes some walk behind you"

LMAO!

Anyway, I'm very embarassed to admit this one, it's from Buckcherry's "Lit Up"

Actual Lyric: I love the cocaine

What I thought: I love Kurt Cobain.

Yes, humiliating.

Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers"

Since Kate Bush doesn't pronounce "Jeux sans frontiers" properly, it sounds like a lot of different things. The most common misinterpretation is "She's so popular", but this page has a bunch of different ones

"Revved" is what I always thought it was.

Longest time I thought Killer Queen went

"She's a Killer Queen

Got that agility" it's actually "gunpowder gelatine"

In that Jay Z song What More Can I Say where it starts out with the Gladiator quote I thought it said "Are you not into trains" for a second.

I'm dating myself here, but when I first heard "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" when it came out, I thought it was "Dirty Jeans, Thunder Chief"

Had no idea what that was supposed to mean.

"I'm breaking the limit inside you" is the first line. I don't remember the second.

Some guy actually tried to convince me that the chorus to "Bad Medicine" was as follows:

Thoreau is like Ralph Emerson

Ralph Emerson is what I read

Another one for "Dirty Deeds" by Ac/DC: When I first heard it, I thought I heard "Dirty Deeds in her Thunder Cheeks"

That wasn't his Alliance era music, it was pre-WCW acquisition when the WWF was experimenting with themes performed by big-name bands

He had two Alliance themes, one of which was slow and haunting and the other was just a fast guitar riff with some weird effects mixed in.
