Guest Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I don't know if this is in here, but it's the Doomsday Cage Match from Uncensored 96. Here's part one, the rest are there on the right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM5W1oaIkKU It's a little bit through the match when joined, but I'm sure it's no big deal. I sat through all three parts earlier and had a laugh.
Guest Smues Report post Posted September 7, 2007 The match has probably been topped by now as the worst match ever, but god was it awful anyway. Hogan and Savage beating 8 fucking guys, and of course it ends with Flair being pinned. God forbid one of the doom rejects take the pin. But at least it does give us the line about knowing who the fresh man is because he hasn't been hit by a frying pan yet.
Guest Report post Posted September 7, 2007 I still think it's the worst. There wasn't a thing about it that made sense. Arn and Flair make it through the locked portion, in the same room that Barbarian and Meng are locked in. The door opens for Meng and Barbarian to go through, thanks to someone unlocking it. So where'd they go? Where'd Sullivan disappear to? Not to mention Savage and Hogan walking out of the cage to end the match and almost forgetting to make a pin in the process. I hate cage matches where wrestlers don't stay in the cage, and instead fight around the crowd, outside of the ring and such. But it's WCW, what else could be expected. Nothing they did makes a damn bit of sense. Still liked WCW, it entertained me.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2007 it seems as if they didnt have a clue what the rules were for the match, the announcers tried to say you had to make your way through all the cages down to the ring and exit the last cage to win (much like the tower of doom at GAB 88) but instead the went outside a cgae and climbed down the scalfolding and wound up in the regular ring down the aisle. what a mess. and yes I own the comercial home video of this. dont forget Luger using a "weighted glove" so sayeth Schiavone

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2007 Bret Hart snaps on raw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5ArRMvJn78 AWESOME! I've had this on my computer for quite a while from LimeWire, but was never able to post it. The more people who see it, the better. I really like Sid's "I DON'T KNOW SHIT!" I'm still looking for Bret's official heel turn, when he tells Americans to kiss his ass.

He expressed his displeasure in typical HBK fashion.

I recall something about it being agreed that it would be like Hogan did with The Rock where Michaels would go over on the rematch but something happened since Hogan could not wrestle after that so Michaels did what he did since he was to lose anyway. LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2007 Not for nothing, I know HBK is known for his political history, but he was in the right here. He was one of the top people on the roster and Hogan is this once a year broken down old man. Hogan had no right going over in that match.

That was Shawn's idea, but Hogan wanted to go over in the rematch as well. The rematch was for a cage with the double finish, I believe. Shawn wasn't in the right. Hogan was the draw for that match. Shawn wasn't getting a rub for beating Hogan. It was a dream match. No one was getting elevated. Shawn went into business for himself there.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2007 The idea at the time was for Austin to face Hogan at Wrestlemania the following year. With Hogan only wrestling infrequently, and being treated as a legend, it would have been a bad idea for Hogan to have lost the match with Shawn, or any match before facing Austin. A rematch the next month would have been pointless, because the draw was in it being the first time meeting of two legendary names, and it wouldn't have done even half the business Summerslam did. Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2007 Start marking out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmgAq2dtLjs I remember watching this when I was nine years old. It the first year I was a wrestling fan and I thought Horowitz had a good chance to win because I remembered that the first time I ever watched Monday Night Raw that he had a pretty close match with then-Intercontinental champ Jeff Jarrett. I still was a bit shocked though when he won the match. Great moment in wrestling history. That Roberts promo post-Elizabeth slap is awesome stuff. Roberts's promos for that whole Tuesday in Texas show and that feud were just great.
