Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2007 Check out ovwrestling.com for the reworked ovw website. I believe they brought in professional web designers this time around and it shows. The Superstars section seems to be up to date as well. Jon Bolen's look really jumps out to me - too bad he had Bolen tatooed across his stomach though (supposedly to block any silly gimmicked name by the wwe writers). I don't think Boris Alexiev or Mr. Stongko have much of a future with their current gimmicks with Vladimir Kozlov debuting and actually being a Russian. Then again they could act as his "seconds" to further sell his MMA "Fedor Emelianenko" inspired gimmick. I get a kick out of "Fearless" Jack Bulls antics, but given that he's already on the wrong side of 35 I don't think there is much future for him either. Chris Rombola has been getting strong reviews lately for his improvement. Jacob Duncan is the fromer Red Shirt Security Ryan and Trytan from TNA. I liked him better when he was doing a quasi-leatherface-Slingblade combo gimmick. I don't know what Burchill is doing with the mask he wears to the ring - but he is the OVW Champion right now. There is supposed to be a wave of developmental cuts coming, while at the same time ECW is going to get an influx of developmental talent to flesh out it's roster and make it more of a AAA developmental. Deep South Wrestling is relaunching January 4th - it has always been a terribly designed and updated website, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. However they have a myspace page that has a few members that take photo's(over a hundred) at all of the tapings.

Alro 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Jon Bolen's look really jumps out to me - too bad he had Bolen tatooed across his stomach though (supposedly to block any silly gimmicked name by the wwe writers). I've never seen Bolen with his face painted like it shows on the website. He and Ryan Reeves make a decent team. They're not great or anything, but they do have an impressive look. I get a kick out of "Fearless" Jack Bulls antics, but given that he's already on the wrong side of 35 I don't think there is much future for him either. I got a kick out of him when he debuted, but all of his appearances after that have been nothing short of annoying. Jacob Duncan is the fromer Red Shirt Security Ryan and Trytan from TNA. I liked him better when he was doing a quasi-leatherface-Slingblade combo gimmick. He isn't bad. I don't think he'll amount to anything more than a Snitsky type, but he's not bad for current OVW. I don't know what Burchill is doing with the mask he wears to the ring - but he is the OVW Champion right now. Why is he still in OVW? Deep South Wrestling is relaunching January 4th - it has always been a terribly designed and updated website, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. However they have a myspace page that has a few members that take photo's(over a hundred) at all of the tapings. Their website has always sucked. Their TV show on CSS or Versus or whatever the hell the channel is called now isn't much better. Terrible production values and their shows are anywhere from 1-3 months behind what they show on their Georgia affiliate.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Yeah, where is Edge? They made sure to get Orton in there, while Edge had 10x the year that Orton did. Except for teaming w/ Edge, Orton hadn't done much of anything in 2006.

Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Yeah, where is Edge? They made sure to get Orton in there, while Edge had 10x the year that Orton did. Except for teaming w/ Edge, Orton hadn't done much of anything in 2006. Except for the whole main eventing Wrestlemania thing. It was more of a semi-final match, which only went nine minutes and saw Orton lose clean. Edge might not have been in the main event, but his match with Foley was one of the best ones of the night and had the most memorable spot with both Edge and Foley going through a flaming table. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 Taken from 411Mania: -Claudio Castagnoli has been fired by WWE, he never officially reported to Developmental. Claudio was not forthcoming about his VISA issues, and Mike Bucci (Former Simon Dean and Head of Developmental right now) took him at his word and in the end, there were problems with his paperwork. Bucci had some heat on him for not looking into things better, but in the end Claudio was punished as he was just released
Atticus Chaos 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 The plan as of now for the Great Khali is to continue the storyline with Tommy Dreamer. It's meant to build Khali as an unstoppable monster who has to go through the ECW original to prove himself. It's set at this point to lead to Wrestlemania with Khali getting a monster push in the process, and culminate with Great Khali challenging BOBBY LASHLEY for the ECW Championship. That's right, Khali vs Lashley for the ECW title at Mania 23. -PWInsider.com Someone put Heyman on suicide watch.

UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 During the tail end of a press conference today in Kansas City to promote this weekend's New Year's Revolution PPV, Jonathan Coachman, who was acting as moderator, responded to a contingent of fans loudly chanting "TNA" by remarking, "TNA is like Kansas City, inferior to WWE." Coachman had been playing heel to the crowd the entire conference, ripping on his legitimate hometown. The comment aired live over the initial webcast of the press conference on the WWE website, but was quickly edited off the archived version. -PWInsider.com
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 Ah, that silly WWE, still trying not to give TNA any free publicity. Its good to keep their fans in the dark about any possible wrestling alternative. Guest Diablo_Dor Report post Posted January 4, 2007 Did anyone ever get a gif file of the conchairto from Edge to HHH before the break? I've sat here patiently waiting to see if one was forthcoming but I haven't heard anything. Oh by the way if they really are serious about Lashley Vs Kahli WM23 then I've two things to say about that: (1) has there ever been a Wrestlemania title match that had 2 guys who were BOTH taken off a PPV the previous year for health reasons? and (2) If they are serious START BOOKING IT NOW, I'm not talking about the storyline, I mean the match itself, have them turn up early to every venue from now to WM and work over the match for a t least an hour. If they don't do that for the next 3 months the crowd is gonna tear them a new arsehole. Hell the best worker in the match will be Khalis' corner man!!
