Nice reference. Flair totally lost me in that promo where he was naming off all these WCW legends that Vince couldn't hold in his hands, and screamed "BAGWELL" at the end of it.

Although Bagwell was there for a goddamn long time. At least 10 years.

If only he yelled Judy Bagwell instead.

Ya know, Randy Orton really is WWE's Buff Bagwell.

QFT

QFT?

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, Randy Orton is a good wrestler. Which is more than one could say for Mr Bagwell.

Also, I don't think Randy had a career in soft porn films before entering wrestling. I could be wrong though.

No, he was just being a piece of shit going AWOL from Marine Corps boot camp.

Yeah, cause staying when he absolutely hated it would have been better.

If you're not totally certain you want to be in the marines, then you have to leave. Otherwise, you'll get yourself killed. Granted, he could have went about a better way but you can't judge him when you don't know the entire story.

The Military isn't some 9 to 5 job that you can just say "You know, this isn't for me. I'm giving my two week notice"

If he wasn't certain they why did he sign the eight year contract? He went AWOL twice during his stint in the Marine Corps and was sentenced to 38 days in the brig, and unfortunately for us, he wasn't convicted as a felon. He's a piece of shit, a fucking quitter.

From WWE.com-

John Cena’s message to the WWE Fans

To me, this was the most fascinating message of all. By going toe-to-toe with Shawn Michaels for an hour, even in losing, John Cena sent a message to the fans. He said, “you don’t have to like me but you better respect me.” Cena is in a weird place right now. Sometimes, he’s cheered, often times he’s booed out of the building. Usually it’s mixed with women and children battling grown men in the “Let’s Go Cena – Cena Sucks,” chants.

The closest comparison I can find to Cena in the entertainment world is Justin Timberlake. When Timberlake, fresh off The Mickey Mouse Club, was gyrating with 'N Sync and dating Britney Spears, no male who had hit puberty could stand him. Sure, women and young kids adored him, but despite his worldwide popularity, most men, if given the chance, would love to punch him in the testicles. But then, something happened. 'N Sync broke up, Timberlake dumped Britney, made a solo album, dated Cameron Diaz, dumped her, made a cool follow-up album, started doing every A-list hot actress in Hollywood, and all of a sudden, guys started to slowly come around to him. The pinnacle of this was Timberlake’s second hosting appearance on Saturday Night Live this past year where he performed the now infamous “D#&@ in a Box” skit. After that, grown men were actually e-mailing each other the clip and showing it at parties. Five years ago, could anyone ever imagine grown men sitting at a computer enjoying a clip involving Justin Timberlake that didn’t have him being mauled by a cougar?

That’s what Cena’s match with Shawn Michaels is – his “D#&@ in a Box” moment. In getting the crowd on its feet for an hour, Cena sent the message “Even if you absolutely HATE me and everything I stand for, even if the sound of my entrance music and my smiling face makes you want to involuntarily vomit on your lap, you at least have to give me some respect.”

And in the end, that might be the most effective message of the night, and the perfect way to stop the Backlash.

Sorry Cena, but people can only be cool when:

A) You don't have to TELL your peers you're cool

or in this case

B) You don't tell peers they should feel obligated to acknowledge your coolness

WWE sucks.

God, now they're actually pretending Michaels/Cena matches are something special. Not feeling that workrate? Too bad, because now we're forcing to you to believe you saw it, damnit! Ignore those 20+ minutes of laying on the mat, long awkward periods of no-selling again, or even "high-impact" fake looking moves. WE CAN WRESTLE. BETTER THAN ANYONE. IT'S WWE! Somewhere in the WWE Collective - they have a vision of "Top WWE Matches Ever By Far, No Doubt" - it goes - Andre/Hogan, Michaels/Bret, and Cena/Michaels. Those are what every wrestler should want to be - Fucking boring.

Because he was only 18? Because the recruiters are well known for their ability to exaggerate or downright lie about life in the military to high school kids and he found a military career wasn't the great deal he'd been conned into thinking it was?

back in high school, the kids would always go to the nearby Subway after school...right next door was a Marine recruiter office. Those dudes would stand outside like a bunch of hookers trying to pull dumb kids in to sign up.

"Hey baby, wanna join the military? You're gonna love what I got, baby!"

The conjures up quite an odd mental image.

well, if there was ever a doubt to what they consider THE top brand...

"for your punishment....we are sending you...to SMACKDOWN!"

"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Nice to see that they consider being sent to SD or ECW "punishment". If the disparity between Raw and the other two wasn't clear enough before, this is a good example.

edit: Lushus beat me to it, but with a jokey comment.

Orton's already been on all three brands in the past year or so, if I'm not mistaken, so it will be routine for him. He's the new Kurt Angle "utility man" main eventer for WWE.

I'm really hoping if that was true, Orton gets moved over to Smackdown and stays the hell away from ECW. ECW at this moment really doesn't need him. Smackdown doesn't either, but I rather him not taint ECW.

Me either. I'm starting to like the New Breed/Punk thing and I'd rather he not fuck it up.

Yeah, I remember hearing that Orton's bad behavior was initially his attempt to live out the stories he heard from his dad and other old timers so that when he got older he'd have stories for the younger generation.
