Was that the realtor from Arrested Development?

Yeah, Ed Helms from the Daily Show.

I think that makes at least 4 actors who have been on both shows now.

The actress who plays Phylis was in the boardroom on AD one time, the guy who plays Kevin was a gun salesman who sold a gun to Tobias, and Rob Riggle was the Booze Cruise captain and the activist who fell in love with Buster when he was in the coma.

"I slept with a lot of women in the '60s; many outdoors...in the mud...it's possible a guy may have slipped in there."

Awesome.

That and the Oscar/Michael kiss got the biggest laugh from me.

I hope they don't keep Jim at the other branch too long. The new characters seemed like they have potential, but it was just weird having him out of the office. I'm liking the Jim/Pam storyline still. All the subtle aspects thrown out there make it a lot stronger: Pam laughing and turning to Ryan to no reaction, Jim looking over at the empty seat, etc.

And I know this is supposed to be a comedy, but that final scene with Pam smiling before looking like she was on the brink of tears because of the gag from Jim packed a pretty powerful dramatic punch.

That's what's great about the Office, you have these absurb episodes with Michael and Dwight, and then there's this real and deep relationship between Jim and Pam that not only keeps the show centered, but actually creates some real emotion towards these characters. And that's great writing and execution.

Yea, that was the best moment of the show.

Loved the callbacks to the pilot and the second episode.

Great episode, and I'm more curious as to where Jam is going.

That was so great. The kiss had me in hysterics. Michael's long, teary dialogue about how he all wanted to remember this every time they entered the office was priceless.

I'm really digging Jim in Stamford; it cuts down on the Dunder Mifflin filler. The guy went fucking postal over the Jell-O. Tremendous.

It seems the people at NorthernAttack are not loving the episode because of the first few minutes. While it was a major downer, I think that's part of why I love The Office. They blend drama and comedy so well

God that was a great first episode. I like how after the kiss they showed Dwight acting like he is sad, and goes back to his normal dickhead way. All the stuff with Oscar, and the fact that he shoved Angela away, and pretty much exposed Dwight/Angela. The ending with GayDar had it beeping on Dwight has me laughing, while the moment with Pam was a heart-breaker. The gay stuff was interesting, with the kiss and Dwight trying to kiss him. The stuff at Diversity Day, and the looking at the desk routine was great.

For once, I feel sorry for a guy like Roy, with all the stuff about losing the wedding and him letting himself go. The frozen food stuff was interesting, and Stanley talking about the toasters was fun. Next week, I bet that someone will say that "Jim say's hi" towards Pam, and she's gonna break down. I hope to god that Fischer gets nominated for an Emmy along with the other cast members that got SCREWED.

Great episode and a strong premiere. I hope that they keep Jim in Stamford for a while though as it is different, having him try to fit in with people who actually work.

Also, Roy's mugshot + mouthful of ice cream = mess. I actually felt badly for Roy.

and not just that he did it, but the way he did it. Just that Dwight-ish "False" hilarious

How exactly did the show begin? I missed the first few minutes of it.

Toby told Michael that Oscar had come out to him earlier in the day after Michael had called him "faggy." It was quickly established that Ryan's no longer a temp and is where Jim used to be.

I've gotten way too into this series. Having just finished Season Two on Monday, seeing Jim gone from the Scranton branch almost made me sad, even though it's inevitable he'll be back.

My only complaint is that how the flashback to the end of Casino Night was done. I would have just started it straight at the beginning of the episode instead of that goofy fade in (Pam shows us her thoughts ala Kane) we got a minute into the show. I also would have had the scene remain a one-camera edit since it's kinda implausible that both cameramen would be up there. It'd be a lengthy shot, but who cares? And I would have had it go a little bit longer than it did; scrap that "Are you drunk?" shit for something more dramatic than "Are you going to marry him? :) OK."

It looked to me like the scene was refilmed just for that flashback as Pam's makeup was different and I think Jim's hair was too, although I could be wrong. It bothered me just 'cause I'm a geek like that. How long would it have taken to just put something together during the Casino Night shoot?

Eh, that's my only criticism though.
