spman Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I don't know, but you can be guaranteed they'll do the Big Show spot with nine guys all trying at once to dump Great Khali.
Black Lushus Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I'd like to see Michaels do it in his home town, if 'Taker wins at the Rumble, then that might mean he'll lose at 'Mania, I wouldn't like to see that happpen. that aint gonna happen
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I want Khali to win. Maybe, Orton. That might give him a 1% chance of defeating Cena.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 After Lesnar walked out on WWE following Taker putting him over in Hell in a Cell and the '03 Rumble, I can safely bet that the last thing Taker wants is to drop his streak to another guy who will probaby be out of the business in 2 years. Orton or Edge will not win. Edge is a great heel and keeps Orton out of shitty PPV matches by osmosis, so no splitting that up. Finlay isn't over enough with the mainstream crowds. Just workrate fans. King Booker had his run. Booker/Batista at 23 would be worse than Triple H/Batista at 21. Umaga and Kennedy won't be in it. Test and RVD will likely be in a 3-way. (Wow, 3 "World" title matches on one PPV...?) Matt and Jeff are nowhere near title contenders, though both are working GREAT matches lately, they'll settle issues w/ MNM at Mania/No Way Out. Benoit isn't a World Title draw, he had his run. Punk and Carlito are stuck in such great feuds with...Holly and Masters. Leaving: Michaels Taker It'll probably come down to those two, Edge, Orton, and Finlay. Is it going to be 10 each from ECW/Raw/Smackdown? That would SUCK. A LOT of jobber/deadweight material if that's the case. "Here comes Kevin Thorn!"
foleyfanforever88 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I really hope they do 12-12-6, or not specify a number for each brand, just throw in the 30 best guys.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 With what happened to Hunter, and with Undertaker probably not ready to retire, I would not be surprised to see them put Michaels over in the Rumble and then dedicate his title match to Hunter. Michaels can win the title for a feel-good ending to WM XXIII, and you might even have Hunter show up to congratulate him. Then, assuming Hunter is ready to return to action at Summerslam, you can have them redo the Shawn turn on Hogan with Shawn turning on Hunter, with the idea that Hunter is his protege and Shawn wants to see if he can beat Hunter one more time. Hunter makes his big return against Shawn as a super babyface, wins the title for the second feel-good PPV ending of the year, and Shawn can turn back babyface by shaking Hunter's hand the same way he did with Hogan and admitting that Hunter is the better man.
Promoter Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Actually, they could get creative with HBK and have him go for the title and say he will do what HHH couldn't do last year and defeat Cena turning HBK a tweener. We know how much they want Cena to be this generation's Hogan or Rock or Austin, so have HHH comeback at the side of John Cena and you got a whole new dynamic to the match. Cena won't get booed if HHH backs him on crutches against HBK who took advantage of HHH's injury to position himself as a contender. Of course, this is too pro wrestling like and they want to do stuff Donald Trump vs. Vince Mcmahon.
Wyld Cannon Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 It's strange going into WM with 3 Face World Champions, so they kind of have to do at least one Face vs. Face match on top just to send everyone home happy.

Nothing in that scenario makes me feel good. Another masturbatory HHH/HBK feud? Pass.

RepoMan Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Maybe the Rumble will be like this talk show rumble that happened recently: http://ebaumsworld.com/2006/07/talkshowrumble.html I'm woundering if that thing is a work. Anyway, that dude has some sweet kicks.

No thanks to the HHH-HBK mini-fued. We've been there, done that, enough already. I liked however the idea of HBK winning the title for HHH though. Only problem, Cena sucks as a heel. And if Michaels does win the title, who does he drop it to? I still go with Undertaker winning it.
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Is Kennedy ready? He's pencilled in as my pick (as much as I'd mark if Finlay won it, as described above)....I know he would certainly be ready had he not lost twice to my pencilled 1A pick, The Undertaker.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Kennedy has a title match at the Rumble. BUT... it would be refreshing to see Kennedy lose the title match just before the Rumble, and then beat up a late number and get into the Rumble and win it. Then he could have a mini-feud against whomever he beat up for No Way Out, and then could challenge again for the title at Wrestlemania (maybe against John Cena since HHH is hurt and they apparently really want to do Taker/Batista). He can just hold off on his "big decision" until after the NWO PPV and say if he doesn't beat John he'll just go back to Smackdown. (Or, he makes his decision but is attacked by whomever he took out at the Rumble and is told by Coach/Long that he has to wrestle at No Way Out against the guy in a cage or something, since they think he went to Raw to get away from whomever he beat up)
Epic Reine Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 If Michaels challenges for the title at Mania, what does this leave Rated RKO to do?
Dobbs 3K Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Maybe Rated RKO vs Flair and someone else at WM?
J.T. Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 What guys do you want to see in the Rumble? Obviously, its Cena/Umaga, Kennedy/Batista and Test/Lashely/maybe RVD. I am assuming it will be RVD. Combine that with something DIVA like, I am adding London/Kendricks vs Regal an Taylor as an opener. I dount any of the four would make the rumble and makes it for a SWANK opener. Here is my 30. RAW: Carlito, Edge, Masters, Jeff Hardy, Nitro, JTG, Kenny, Orton, Flair, Shad, HBK and Khali SD: Boogeyman, Chavo, Benoit, Finely, Helms, Mercury, Kane, Booka, Matt Hardy, MVP, Taker and Miz ECW: Terkay, Sabu, Sandman, Thorn, Holly and Punk
Slickster Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Raw: Carlito, Chris Masters, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Johnny Nitro, Kenny Dykstra, Randy Orton, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, Viscera SmackDown: Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Finlay, Kane, King Booker, Matt Hardy, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, Montel Vontavious Porter, Undertaker ECW: CM Punk, Hardcore Holly, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, The Sandman The WWE is billing this Rumble as the most star-studded of all time. The 25 announced participants share a combined 47 recognized World title reigns.
theintensifier Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 If that really ever matters, or means anything, Flair should win every match, every feud, every Rumble, etc.
theintensifier Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Oh, and, I am playing TEW right now. I'm in the month of January, and preparing for the Rumble myself. I'm going to have three different Rumbles. Obviously meaning, one for Raw, one for SmackDown, and one for ECW. I have it on four hour PPV's for the combined shows, so time isn't a factor.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 The only way that HBK wins is if Cena loses the belt to Umaga..and do we really want to see HBK/Umaga in the main event of WM? Cause I cant see them doing HBK/Cena unless one or the other turns heel and it wont be HBK. Or of course Kennedy beats Batista and HBK jumps to SD to wrestle Kennedy. Or Test beats Lashley and HBK loses his mind and wants to make Test a WM Main eventer for the ECW title..lol..
spman Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 5 more spots are open, so I assume Khali, Boogeyman, Monty Brown, possibly Umaga if they shoot an angle after he loses, and one other, will round out the 30.
bob_barron Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Not in the Rumble- Charlie Haas Eugene Jim Duggan Jerry Lawler Coach JTG Lance Cade Robbie McAllister Rory McAllister Shad Snitsky Super Crazy Khali Trevor Murdoch Val Venis SD- Boogeyman Brian Kendrick Dave Taylor Funaki Gregory Helms Idol Stevens Jamie Noble Jimmy Wang Yang Joey Mercury KC James Paul London Scotty 2 Hotty Sylvan Tatanka Vito William Regal ECW- Al Snow Balls Mahoney CW Anderson Elijah Burke Kevin Thorn Little Guido Matt Striker Mike fucking Knox Rene Dupree Shannon Moore Steven Richards Sylvester Turkay Test Tommy Dreamer Tommy Mamaluke 46 wrestlers for 5 spots
J.T. Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Khali and Boggeyman gotta be locks. Maybe Crime Time tries the whole night to steal a number to get in and cant. Id like to see Mercury and Haas get in purely cuz their partners are in.
UZI Suicide Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 FLASH FUNK should debut at the Rumble.
Guest RayCo Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 They should do like a special guest entrant thing like they did afew years ago e.g. Goldust, Godfather, Mr. Perfect, Haku, Honky Tonk Man, etc. but this time King Kong Bundy.
Guest Toddiwod Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'm hoping that The Brooklyn Brawler makes a special appearance. I don't know why, I just like the guy.
