Twisted Intestine Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I would sit on the floor. He doesn't ever come in the room and kick me off.
Ravenbomb Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I misread "Sit on the floor" as "sit it on the floor." I wouldn't physically kick it off, but I'd shoo it away
Jingus Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I wouldn't physically kick it off, but I'd shoo it away Same. We've got perfectly good thick carpet for you to park your fuzzy fat asses on, cats, the furniture is designed for humans.
CanadianGuitarist Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Historically, Mullen men have hated animals. My brother liked them until he was about 12, but then it wore off. Pets especially were not well-received. So, "kick it off" won out before I even read the other choices.
Matt Young Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I misread "Sit on the floor" as "sit it on the floor." I wouldn't physically kick it off, but I'd shoo it away That would be "set", not sit. Malia either lies down on my lap, gets underneath my chair, or curls up on the second chair I have at my computer desk, so it's not an issue.
At Home Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 My dog has a good enough goddamned life already. I get the chair.
The Niggardly King Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Jack Daniels is going out the fucking window if he tries sitting on my furniture
Guest shoryuken007 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 You have a pet named Jack Daniels? Awesome. If my cat ever tried this, I'd move her, but she doesn't so life is good.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 With my cat, well, when she was alive, I usually just sat with her. Or if I saw her there I'd probably just start playing with her and thus annoying her to move.
The Niggardly King Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 You have a pet named Jack Daniels? Awesome. Yeah, it worried my parents when I got the dog, and gave him that name.
Guest shoryuken007 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 What kind of dog is it? I'm picturing a french poodle called Jack Daniels and it's pretty amusing.
Ripper Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I pretend I don't see then and procede to sit down. Moo will lay on his back and push back and fight valiantly until he gives up and jumps off then turns around to yell at me. Boo will get up and move and go walk in the kitchen (where they aren't allowed) and lays down knowing that if I just sat in the chair, I don't want to get up and get him out the kitchen. My cats are tempermental assholes. I love them.
Steviekick Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 My dog would always sit on the couches, but would always get up and leave if I went to sit on the other side of the sofa. I guess she was paranoid or something.
Sideburnious Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I'd probably leave the pet there, especially if it's sleeping. If it's awake i'll put it on my lap.
Zack Malibu Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 We've got a chair in the living room that Pillman sleeps in at night.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Most of the time it's them who hop on when I'm in the recliner or laying on the couch. But to answer the question, I just pick them up, sit down, and put them back where they were. If they don't like it, then they can get a job and pay some bills.
Mik Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I love my dog, but he gets the floor. Although when he lays on top of me on the couch I don't get rid of him so I don't know... but the ONLY chair? Yeah... he's gotta go.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I would sit on the floor. He doesn't ever come in the room and kick me off. My bulldog, Brutus, would care to disagree.
Maztinho Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 I'd just sit on the floor, but usually that's not even an issue since Jinsei prefers the back of the chair anyways.
sfaJack Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 My wife's cat is only allowed to get on the beds and on the one white chair in my office. Sitting on any other furniture gets her a swift kick in the ass.
Red Baron Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 My cats, Teddy and Albert sit on the bed instead of the chesterfield. Only if I am sitting on the chesterfield then they would come up and sit on my lap.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 My dog's too damn big to share a chair with, and I'm the one with the job, so seat goes to me. I do squeeze in when it comes to a big couch, but it's too hard with a chair. Damn gigantical dog.
