Dandy 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Before his first AB on Friday, FSN Cincy had a stat that showed he was 6 for his last 26, all hits being homers. He has homered a couple of times since then, but I think he got a few non-homer hits in there as well. I'll do some quick research. Edit---From July 6-18, Dunn was 6-27 with 6 home runs. Fastest growing region in the country and no other professional sports teams. Could have been huge. Washington strikes me as more of a football town (IIRC- The Senators had attendance problems for most of their run there) and the baseball fans that are there seem to lean more towards The Orioles. You'd be hard-pressed to find a franchise anywhere in sports that's been afflicted with quite this much bad management and bad luck over such a period of time. I'm sure there are other terrible first half hitters who turn it on late, but this season is basically an average one for his career. He hit .160 in April, hung somewhere around .250 in May and June, and is now pushing .400 for July. He regularly struggles to hit .200 until about mid-June, but his season average always tends to end up at something respectable like .270. In fact the way the Brewers are playing they have to be favored to win the NL. Brewers vs. Angels in the World Series?
