Michael Jackson - "Thriller" naturally.

"Windowlicker" is brilliant. I want a limo that big.

I just mulled this over in my head a few days ago, and of course now I can't remember. Recently though, the most brilliant pieces of work I've seen are Electric 6's "Gay Bar," Andre 3000's "Hey Ya," and the Darkness' "I Believe In A Thing Called Love." The first has a bunch of Abe Lincolns in hot pants. The second you all know. And the third is the most resplendent piece of cheese I've seen in ages.

Other notables:

NIN, "Closer" - duh.

G'n'R, "Estranged" - using dolphins and conveyor belts to rock out.

Beck, "Sexx Laws" - refrigerator sex.

In no particular order:

Buggles - "Video Killed the Radio Star"

A-Ha - "Take On Me"

Weird Al - "Eat It"

Van Halen - "Hot For Teacher"

David Lee Roth - "California Girls"

To tell you the truth, I don't really watch music videos, so these are more or less default picks... ones that stood out by either being really funny or innovative.

(Damn, BAR beat me to "Hot for Teacher"...)

80s special:

J Geils Band, "Centerfold" (come on, for the babes in the sweaters)

Terror, most people at this board weren't BORN when "Centerfold" came out.

You're dating yourself, pal...

He's totally right, though. It gets no better than the drum made out of milk.

I actually never really thought Thriller was that great. My all time favorite video is "Smooth Criminal."

"Smells Like Nirvana" -- Weird Al

The Weezer one with all the Muppets, though it's one of their weaker songs...

The Beastie Boys -- "Sabotage"

"Give It Away" -- Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Breeders -- "Cannonball" (just such a fun song, and I <3 Kim Deal)

Oh, and I was gettin' crazy on Offspring's "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" when I was a young retard... as opposed to, you know, an old one.

So very true. that girl that LOOKED LIKE Martha Quinn was nice as well. When I was a kid, I thought it was Martha. She was my first childhood crush. Well, second, after Suzanna Hoffs.
