To me, the two most unfunny people in the history of show business are Whoopi Goldberg and Paul Reiser. I have NEVER found Whoopie Goldberg funny in the slightest, and yet she has tremendous Hollywood pull in the business. How she became a big power broker while having no discernable talent I will never figure out. Paul Reiser, if it is possible, is even less funny than Goldberg, and is my vote for the least funniest person in the business. The tired neurotic act, the "observations", the "Native New Yorker to the End", all tired acts which other comedians have done before and done much better. Watching "mad About You" it is clear Helen Hunt carried him big time. The show was all her. Anyone else have any ideas on this?

Avid Merrion. Don't know if he's made it to the US yet, but god knows he will and everyone will think he's funny, like they did with Ali G, who became intolerable the second he got his own show.

Adam Sandler for sure. Andrew Dice Clay if he still counts as mainstream.

Jay Leno, David Letterman, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, 90% of women standups don't make me laugh at all.

I was going to say Ellen, but I am not sure if it is just because she is not even trying to appeal to my demographic. My mom seems to enjoy her stand-up, which means I shouldn't. However, my mom did like the recent Chris Rock stand-up, which bothers me, because I LOVED it, and I remember some of the stuff he said, and imagining my mom sitting there with the "it's funny cause it's true" thoughts in her head, almost gets me to the point of puking....

Eddie Izzard, not really sure if he's main stream or not but I've had to sit through his DVD twice and he isn't really funny. I mean shit his whole thing is nothing but a history lesson with the same punchlines over and over again.

Jerry Seinfeld?

You guys have got to be kidding me.

I'd rank Seinfeld as my second favourite comedian of all time- just behind Norm. His comedy CD 'I'm Telling You For the Last Time' is pure genius. Hits bits on flying, old people and relationships are so funny and so true- he's the man.

What also makes Jerry one of my favourites is that even though he never has to do anything again- he totally reinvented his act and it's still funny. He still tours the country just because of his love for comedy. His bit on suicide bombers is awesome.

Denis Leary. Stole material almost word for word from Bill Hicks, and made his career on it.

I've had no respect for Carrot Top for a long, long time.

Gallagher used to be hilarious when I was a kid, but you quickly realize that most people don't go to his shows for the JOKES, do they? They just want to dodge the smashed food.

Carrot Top (and for that matter practically any prop comics... but manly just him)

I would be glad to see him kill himself with one of his props in a cocaine induced haze.

I'll go with Seinfeld & Izzard as well.

Seinfeld has got to be one of the greatest con artists of all time for fooling so many people into thinking he has one iota of comedic talent.

As for Izzard, I know people who love his comedy with almost the same fanaticism of die-hard Monty Python fans. I'm sorry, I've heard his material, and I just. Don't. Get. The appeal.

Seinfeld didn't really con anybody. He's been big in comedy circles since the mid-80s and worked his way to the top. He also has great respect for the art of stand up as evidenced by his awesome documentary 'Comedian.'

He really needs to release a CD of his all new material. While not all of it is great (his bits on kids don't really work) a lot of it is still very very funny and on par with his old stuff.

Greg Proops. Ray Romano. And Carrot Top. Carrot Top is probably the only person I would purposefully run over with my car.

The few times I've seen D.L. Hugley perform he's been painfully unfunny. I mean seriously, how many "white people are like this and black people are like this" jokes can you do without being considered a hack.

If you're going the "white people are evil" route, then Martin Lawrence hasn't been funny in forever.

Tell me one joke that Martin Lawerence have said that applied to whites being evil? I can't understand the Chris Rock love when he does the same thing. Jay Leno sucks and Jerry Seinfeld is so not funny either.

I don't find Ray Romano funny at all.

The funny thing about him is I LOVED him when he would guest star on Dr. Katz and I found some of his stand up to be ok. But, once he got his own show I found his stuff painfully unfunny.
