CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2005 I love incorrectly spelt signs. Like a couple weeks ago, on Smackdown, there was a "The Chian Gang" sign. Now, not only is the spelling error funny, but I guess no one told the poor guy that Cena was on Raw...

Guest Fook Report post Posted July 17, 2005 I hate the mispelled signs. I mean, it's not like it's a ten-page essay. It's about 2-5 words. If you can't make sure they're spelled correctly then you are a retard. Plus it doesn't help escape the stereotype of the stupid, redneck wrestling fan. Just John 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2005 Why do the cameras even zoom in on incorrectly spelled signs? Most of them are so markish you would think there's another sign with a similar (yet correctly spelled) message somewhere in the crowd. GOAR is my favorite. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2005 One I liked was from when Jericho had the title: "Jericho is a jobber!" I'm shocked no one has mentioned the one from Starrcade 97: "Ray Traylor Will Job For Food."
Aero 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 "Lita is a Dumas", thought of by someone on the board, and held up by another at Summerslam 04, getting directly on camera behind Lita for almost a solid 30 seconds. "Rock fears Paper" I never saw it, but I thought the "Nothing good happens to JR here" in Oklahoma was hilarious.

claydude14 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 At a Nitro I attended in Rochester pretty soon after the whole relaunch gimmick; me and my brother got floor seats because they were only like $30 (while everyone else who came with us got free tickets). Anyhow he brought a bunch of generic signs so he could get on TV. It worked; as Bischoff I think was coming out for a promo or something he held up a "New Blood" sign. I was next to him and as the camera began to pan out from him; my sign was revealed as Nothing Intersting, Turn RAW On. The camera quickly cut away once my sign was revealed. I still have the tape somewhere, I'll have to get a screencap. My friend watching at home that night was just waiting for the sign to appear; and turned to RAW after it did. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 ROCK FEARS PAPER from a RAW in '98 or '99 when I first saw it is still and will forever be the greatest sign of all-time. I also love when people hold up signs for Rick Flair.

Shooting Star 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 At a WWC show in P.R back before Invader jumped to IWA there was this guy with a sign that said "Pa aprender como apu~alar colegas y quedar libre llamen 1-800-Invader" or...To find out how to stab co workers and be free call 1-800-Invader. Guest TheGreatWesuke Report post Posted July 18, 2005 I don't think it made TV, but a Thunder taping I went to had a sign that said: "Booker T, World Champion... What The!?!" Poor Booker was celebrating his world title defence, jumped up on the second rope and pointed to the sign having only probably read the "Booker T World Champion" part. The look on his face when he read the rest was priceless. At that same taping I had my "I'd rather be watching Survivor" (this was during the first ever Survivor when it was super popular) and "Doug Dillenger is the Anti-Christ!" signs taken away. I even got a picture of Dillenger's croney taking my sign, and got a picture with WCW's head of security himself after the show. =) Other good one's off the top of my head: Mideon = Ratings Nation of Masturbation (made ten times better because Pillman grabbed it from the crowd and held it up on camera)

Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 For some reason, every Smackdown video package featuring Batista has a closeup of that embarassing "UNLESH THE ANIMAL" sign. It's almost as if they don't know it's spelled wrong... I once saw a sign on Smackdown that said "I KNOW BIG CUNTRY" - it's nice that you're friends with the fat guy who does Byte This, but I really don't think he'd appreciate having his name confused with a slang term for the female genitalia. I'll never stop pimping my "DDP BANGS SARA" and "FUDGE-PAC" signs, brought to KOTR 2001 and an '02 Raw respectively.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 I think it was the same guy who had the "HHH fears divorce" sign that also had one saying "This date in history 1992: Bret beats Flair." DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2005 From an early 90s Wrestling Challenge: "Jeff Jarrett - Ain't He Great" or some similar pro-Jarrett sign despite him being a heel. The sign itself was nothing special, but Gorilla Monsoon refered to the sign holder as a "twisted/sick individual". This led to said fan writing an angry letter to an Apter mag... were those letter sections real, btw?
