The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2007 Fuck, Cryme Tyme must have done something bad, since it wasn't a Wellness violation, but from a backstage altercation with Cade and Murdoch. Supposedly.

Enigma 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 CONGRESSMAN STEARNS TRASHES REPORT SENT BY WWE, SAYS WELLNESS POLICY NOT "WORTH A FLIP" In a stiff blow to WWE, Congressman Cliff Stearns said the government turning up all of these drug purchases from an online pharmacy tells him that "WWE does not have a drug policy that's worth a flip." He said that WWE didn't catch them, a district attorney in Albany, N.Y. investigated and found them. He also said he wonders what other online pharmacies might have other WWE customers. He said he wants more details on how WWE's testing policy actually works. "We asked them for their testing information; what they came back with was not sufficient," Stearns said. "We do not have a copy (of the actual testing policy). We didn't understand whether it was random, what the threshold (level for drugs) was, whether any of these wrestlers were getting post-dated prescriptions after the fact." He said he believes he now has their attention. Plans are going forth to hold hearings on Capital Hill later this month or early in October.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 Okay so the summer cleaning checklist is: Rene Dupree - violating the Wellness Policy again as well as just being a douchebag Daniel Rodimer - Wasn't patient about working his way up to being on the main roster. Strangely, management liked him including Vince and Stephanie McMahon Sylvian Grenier - Got into an argument with a road agent with the way he was being misused. (Wasn't the smart thing to do, but I can't say I blame him after the way he's been treated since LR split) Simon Dean - For his involvement in the steroid scandal Eugene - violating the Wellness Policy again Cryme Tyme - for fucking up the finish of a match at a house show? WTF?

The shit is getting closer to hitting the fan a bit.....damn.....well someone had to say it, the Wellness Policy HAS to be a joke if the "unnamed" ten or more guys had to either be cheating on the tests themselves like crazy or it was the other way around (company itself). Either way, it makes the company look horrible. Plus WWE refused to give up the names/details of the people that actually did get suspended, etc, so you do the math. Its clearly a completely bogus PR move on WWE's part and its far from a legitimate system. The doctors that apparently were monitoring the testing are with Dr. James Andrews....perhaps I'm over-reacting but I dont see it that far from the imagination that the company was paying off these doctors to overlook things. Whats actually great about all of this is that it might, just might, force the company into doing this the right way and enforce a strict policy on this shit so higher ups will be forced to base pushes on pure talent versus the "larger than life" type of push most juiced guys seem to get, unconsciously or not by the WWE booking. If people in high places call them out on the hypocrisies of the business, changes may actually be a reality.

WTF? Eugene was released due to his previous incidents with pain killers, not for anything current. WWE didn't want people like that around. Cryme Tyme was released for melting down and starting a scene backstage with Cade & Murdoch after their house show match got messed up.
zappafrank 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 Eugene was released due to his previous incidents with pain killers, not for anything current. WWE didn't want people like that around. But if he hadn't had any recent problems, what's the justification? If they did simply release him b/c of past problems, he could bring an "unlawful termination" suit against them. * By that token, they should release Kahli since he killed someone. Also, Vince McMahon was involved in a very public federal investigation in the mid-90's. That's hardly a good history to have. Why don't they release that guy?! * ...except he can't since he is an "independent contractor"

goldengreek 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 Most of them. Maria and Kelly seem the least likely. Some are really obvious, like Ashley, Victoria, Melina, and Beth Phoenix. If you want to be truly horrified, watch some of Angel Williams in AAA to see what an eating disorder-stricken, roided up WWE Diva looks like amongst healthy, athletic women. I dont think Melina is on the shit. The others yes
goldengreek 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 He's probobally one of the best wrestlers in the company right now as far as the all round pacage goes. Anyone who says he isn't is in denial because he's at the top of his game right now was in one of the top programs for an extended period of time and has the look. What part of that makes him a shitty wrestler? Is it the fact that he doesn't do the cattle mutilation, or a backdrop driver? Or is it your opinion that anyone who keeps it old school is a bad wrestler.... explain your logic. The quality of his matches depends on his opponents. If he's in there with an established person, he'll tend to look good b/c truth be told a lot of the top guys are good in the ring. If he's in there with a jobber, it'll be a squash on his part, which makes him look dominant and hides his weaknesses. Wouldn't this ring true with about 95% of the roster? Most of the top guys are good...that is why they are top guys. The other top guys who aren't good are there cause they are monsters and in that case they are usually matched with a smaller worker to make them look at least decent. That's the nature of the business as is the point of having him in there with a jobber is to have him look strong and hide his weakness. It's not his job to help a jobber get over. I'm not the biggest Cena fan, but I will give him props for carrying Kahli to some damn watchable matches. Do you think Orton would have been able to have done the same? That's the crux of it, in my eyes: the true test of a wrestlers comes when he's put in there with bad or limited wrestlers who are pushed at the same level. A wrestler can look good against someone who makes wrestlers look good, and a wrestler can look good when he's booked to be a monster (Golderg, anyone?), but what happens when he's put in there with someone who tends to be wrestler who is supposed to be made to look good? Since when is Cena a "good worker" ?

Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2007 An interesting note from this weeks Observer that might give an indication as to how much money people being suspended are missing out on. When Jeff Hardy was suspended for 30-days, it's estimated that he lost around $100,000 through missing out on his house show money, his downside guarantee and the PPV payoff he would have got for Summerslam. So wait, Jeff Hardy is making 1.2 million a year??!! Probably a little less than that, but it would depend on if the houses were good, how well the PPV's draw and if he's on them and in a good position on the card. I'm guessing for 2007 he's making a high six-figure income, at least.
