slimm44 Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Perfect Strangers Full House Wonder Years Head of the Class and of course, David the Gnome
Red Baron Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 While I did love the Batman cartoon, nothing will beat Spiderman or X-Men cartoon in the 90's.
muzz Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I thought I remember more intros having a person do something, then turn and look at something off-screen and smile (like MacGyver).
Vigo Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Have they ever released the Spiderman (Fox Kids Version) and X-Men cartoons on DVD?
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I'm feeling the Voltron love... The best adaptation of a Japanese cartoon ever... until Ted Turner ruined it.
alfdogg Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 TGIF Medley Hangin' With Mr. Cooper The Hogan Family (I have no recollections of this show, but the song has always been embedded in my head for some reason) And of course, you knew I was gonna hit you with these two.
treble Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Bringing the Can-Con. They had a different one in the second season, but this one is better, basically a Saved by the Bell knock-off.
CanadianChris Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 One of my favourite shows as a kid (and I was actually a kid when it premiered):
starvenger Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Bringing the Can-Con. They had a different one in the second season, but this one is better, basically a Saved by the Bell knock-off. Second one was a third-rate knockoff of the Friends theme, IIRC. (What's second rate, you ask? The Bodeans song from Party of Five). So, did Student Bodies ever air in the US?
HarleyQuinn Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Some more favorites... Not finding Unsolved Mysteries sucks. I'm also hitting a childhood cartoon nostalgia trip. Rocko's Modern Life Dinosaucers Mighty Mouse Thunder Cats Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Darkwing Duck. Win. Seriously. Swamp Thing
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I used to love reruns of old cowboy shows. (Well, still do) I grew up on westerns. Chuck Connors was a fuckin' badass.
Bruiser_Brody_ Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I'm finally watching my DVDs of Season 1 of Thundercats and I'm amazed that stories I last saw 20 years ago seem so familar to me.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I would have included Chip n' Dale and Darkwing Duck if not for HarleyQuinn Mr. Cooper original intro Dukes of Hazzard CHiPs
DrVenkman PhD Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Student Bodies did air in the US (it was on the Detroit FOX on Saturday mornings) but I don't know if it lasted beyond the first season. As a side note, Showcase has been showing it Saturday and Sunday mornings and the episode where Mags walks around with a miracle bra and considers getting breast implants just aired last week. Good times. Some MORE Can Con: It's Imagination Day! On our way to the Children's Department once again.
treble Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Shit, I haven't seen Today's Special in years, but I still remembered all of that stuff. I used to work with a guy who looked just like Sam, minus the hair. 'Hocus, Pocus, Alamgocus!'
CanadianChris Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 The Real Ghostbusters: And the other Ghostbusters:
randomguy Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Real Ghostbusters had phenomenal animation. The old HBO intro is still spine-tingling to me. When I was growing up that really meant something special. Jem is awesome.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Webster Mr. Belvedere Blossom . . . well . . . hope ya like the Belvedere tune A-Team . . . Thank you for being a friend
Darthtiki Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 To complete the Universal 80's action show trifecta: How can you not forget about Dallas Inspiring kids to continue to blow up their parents kitchens Probably the best theme made in recent history X-Files
Ced Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 SLEDGE HAMMER! A bit surprised to see that Square One hasn't been represented with the all of the PBS Shows already mentioned. Bionic Six. Bionics ON! A bit off topic, but the Japanese intro for the X-Men cartoon is ridiculous on many levels.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Buck Rogers. Erin Gray in spandex! Annoying midget robots!
MFer Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Talespin Dinosaurs Land of the Lost Mighty Ducks (lol) Someone else has to remember this one
HarleyQuinn Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Tiny Toon Adventures The Tick Big Bad Beetleborgs Eerie, Indiana
