    Time To Die

I do agree with his point that new generation bands should just come up with their own genre name or something. It does get kind of annoying when you talk to someone who says they like a certain genre, and if you dare bring up a band that MTV/Fuse hasn't designated as "the hardcore revolutionary bands" then they give you a funny look or when they hear the actual songs they don't get it. Who cares really though, just about every genre is played out in 2004. Stealing a line from Christian Slater in pump up the volume, "all the themes have been turned into theme parks" Sad really.
  2. Well, I have been to about six A's game already. I was planning on going this saturday for the A's/Giants game, but I have something I have been planning on Saturday night, and I am not sure if I would be able to make it back to Sacramento in time, so I may have to skip it. My guess is by the end of the year I will have gone too approx 18-25 A's games. And perhaps a couple Giants games. I love PacBell Park, I wish the A's could play there~!
  3. Dammit I hate the A's ownership. I mean I understand that they will never be able to spend like the Yanks & RedSox, but Schott refusing to grab a good player for the bullpen is ridiculous. The Bullpen is gonna crush the A's this year if they don't do do something about it. Beane had another good trade setup.........stupid Schott. Oh and the A's FINALLY beat the Angels......WHOO~!
  4. my biggest problem with Bailey is that he doesn't move to the ball well, or at least not lately. He might not give up TDs, but he doesn't have the blanket coverage skills he used to have. Of course Washington's HORRID D-line probably made the job a lot harder. Also, for the speed he shows in training camp, I dunno how he gets burned so much in games. Maybe his instincts are lacking or something.
  5. meanwhile in DC there are rumors the Skins might be interested in setting up some sort of trade for DE Ogyluwhatever from Miami. It would be great to have a beast for a DE, considering that is Washington's biggest weakness right now, but I dunno how they could take on ANOTHER big contract.
  6. would be nice if our election system allowed same day registration voting.
  7. The bull charge/tackle was fine. As far the beating, well it depends, was the guy struggling, or trying to resist ala putting up a fight or was he face down, subdued and basically helpless before the batton to the head stuff? I mean if the batton beating is happening to subdue or take down someone then fine, but extra cops just showing up and deciding to "get a piece of the action" is not warranted. I am in class though so I haven't even seen the footage. Is it even getting a second look? If it isn't then I doubt it was even questionable.
  8. That match did indeed boost Ric's confidence and he got the tribute he deserved afterwards. Good for him. Why is that such a bad thing? Flair's obviously past his prime and can't hold up with the rest of the guys in the ring, but is he really that unwatchable or are you just finding something to complain about? Obviously, he's having the time of his life and the fans are still reacting, so more power to him. umm, do YOU watch his matches? He hasn't brought anything new or fresh to his matches in over 5 years. He can't even take a back body drop properly. He is just an old flabby guy that can't just let go. It is no different then the boxer Roberto Duran and George Foreman still trying to get in the ring and box. Not to mention he is seriously risking his health and well being. I know the argument is, "well that is his choice" but when you are becoming senile like he is, he may not even know what is best for himself. He needs to retire.
  9. They don't even need to hire anyone new because Heyman is already there, he just needs to be promoted to this position. Of course if he knocks the Mordecai character and suggests to vince that a racism angle involving an "arab character" might be a little to 80's-core, he will probably be promptly demoted again and taken off tv as a punishment. Whoever gets the position almost needs to start from scratch. And they need to have more power then just "input" Vince needs to trust someone to be the Ying to Triple H's yang as far as booking & storyline processes go. Otherwise, it will just be more of the same....
  10. I wish Bobby Heenan would do another book or something. I remember a couple of years ago some local radio comedians/djs did an interview with him, and it had to be THE BEST interview I have ever heard from someone in the wrez business, and keep in mind this was coming from a random radio dj. Heenan has the unique ability to give insight and talk about "inside" issues/topics without trying to gloss himself. He is fantastic.
  11. Considering he is crediting Triple H with helping him find himself again, I guess that is one more reason to hate Triple. Had it not been for that incident/match, quite possibly Flair's washed up self might have been retired by now. Thanks a lot HHH. Also, Flair's comments on Foley are off. Foley was HUGE in Japan, and the indy scene in North America. WWE just happened to be the last to get it, regarding Foley's potential, but that has nothing to do with Foley's ability and more with WWE's bookers.
  12. woudn't be the first time we did that either........
  13. America doesn't need to "adopt" any more political parties, there are TONS out there already besides republicans & democrats, however the two big parties hold a monopoly on the media and corporate structure, thus anything not democrat/republican hardly gets a mention, but make no mistake about it, there a lot of other political parties out there.
  14. it will be interesting to see what the conservative talking heads say about this considering they are demanding that the nightly news splash the beheadings all over the news in their entirety, and keep reiterating how important it is for see this.
  15. the only barrier holding homosexuals back right now IMO, is that heterosexuals find homosexual sex between two males disgusting. I mean when you mention gay this or gay that, the first thing that pops up into a heterosexual's head is, "penis going into male ass" Not, oh they are two american citizens seeking equal civil rights. Hell I don't exactly find the thought to appealing in my head, but that doesn't stop me from looking past that to the bigger picture. Unfortunately, a lot of people can't or just refuse to.
  16. Michael Savage blames it on the "enemy within" LOL. He says the liberals are more dangerous then Al Qaeda....... Run for the hills everybody!!
  17. who cares, the station hasn't even been on a year. No radio show or network ever had instant ratings upon going on the air.
  18. That's what I'm wondering. What if, on a nice night, I decide to walk to the convenience store that's a few blocks away? I leave my wallet at home and just throw some cash in my pocket and go. If a cop stops me, I'm not going to have my ID, so what happens? Do I get arrested for leaving my drivers license -- which I don't need, since I'm not operating a car -- at home? I do have my DL number memorized, but I wonder how useful that will be in this situation. I would assume that physically not having it on you-and, you know, saying that, rather than yelling "NO! and running away" is different than refusing to show it. yeah cause I am sure that is ALWAYS the cause of harassment.
  19. Wouldn't it be great if Shaq gets traded, and decides he is content with his accomplishments and turns back into fat, lazy, underachieving Shaq? You can't tell me it isn't a possibility that is exactly what would happen.
  20. I must say, I will be mightly insulted if for Eugene's next match, his opponent still comes in all over-confident and cocky, and treats him like a fool.
  21. So what displays anything appealing about moving overseas as shown by what you just laid out in that diagram?
  22. just PM me when your paypal account is ready and I will PayPal you the $5 plus whatever paypal likes to shave off the top....
  23. and by way of booking, storylines and structure, the answer would be no.
  24. She doesn't really pay attention to music, so it's pretty much up to me to choose the key songs. Christ, mine has everything planned to the final centerpiece. Then she bitches because I don't offer any suggestions... In one way I wouldn't even want to deal with the planning, due to lack of care really, but then again I wouldn't want to end up her being force fed by her parents/family how to do things. Me and my girlfriend would surely agree on just about everything, however I could see our families trying to press their influence.
  25. I honestly would have no idea in the world how to handle the music selection process, as I am sure 0% of the would-be guests are into the kind of music I like, and I am not even talking about the death/black metal stuff. My musical tastes vary, but I could honestly see people sitting around my wedding reception with puzzled looks on their faces thinking, "where is the BoyzIIMen, Brickhouse song, Nickelback, Creed, Mariah Carey etc...." I am however very fond of "The Greatest Love" by Whitney Houston, so I could see that song working quite well for the Bride/Groom dance.
