Elbarto997 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Topic. I go to Sheetz, because they're pretty friggin cheap, and their MTO food is awesome.
Slayer Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Whoever is 1) on my route and 2) offering the best price Which means either Quiktrip (a midwest chain), BP or Phillips66
2GOLD Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Whichever is cheap. That about sums up my feelings. The best gas I ever got was from this station owned by four nice Indian men. They were selling gas for 1.50 at a time it was 1.65. Best gas I ever ran as well. Too bad they moved out of state and left us with Texaco, who bumped the price to 1.70....dicks.
the max Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 No preference. There's a Circle-K down the street, but their pumps are always broken. I usually use a 7-11 near my doctor's office.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I go to the Exxon station just up the block from my house. Wherever I'm going, it's never out of the way, and it's the cheapest place around.
Elbarto997 Posted October 9, 2004 Author Report Posted October 9, 2004 The best gas I ever got was from this station owned by four nice Indian men. They were selling gas for 1.50 at a time it was 1.65. Are they Pacific Pride?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Whatever is cheapest (but since its Big Oil they're all in collusion), but usually its the Sheetz down from my house, although yesterday I went to BP because it was on the way to the mall...
Ced Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Chevron on the way home. BP on the way to work and school. Shell if I have the urge to get a carwash. Gas is gas.
geniusMoment Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 UDF, United Dairy Farmers, because I like padding the pockets of Carl Linder.
Black Lushus Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Quik Trip is the cheapest here in Nebraska...followed up by Texaco because in Omaha if you have a value card from one of the Supermarket chains you get 3 to 4 cents off per gallon...
DerangedHermit Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Whatever is cheapest, or failing that, Hess.
Aero Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Wawa because of being the cheapest. If I desparately need gas, though, I go to the first place I see.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Mobil because its on my way to/from work and its generally one of the cheapest places to get gas around. I just paid $1.79 last monday, now its up to $1.83. It was as cheap as $1.65 right before Labor Day.
MrRant Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Costco if I happen to be over there or Arco.
Guest Jimbo Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Whatever's closest, since I almost always forget to refuel until the empty light is on... That means Mobil, usually. But there's 6 stations in my area, so on the off chance I can decide for myself, I have a pretty nice price selection...
JJMc Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 I'm a fanatic about gas for some reason. I usually only go to name brand places. Shell, Mobil, Citgo, mostly. I know for a FACT that Haffner's buys gas from the bottom of the tank, which has all of the settled particles in it. So the "gas is gas" theory could be true elsewhere, I honestly don't know. This is just my personal preference.
2GOLD Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 The best gas I ever got was from this station owned by four nice Indian men. They were selling gas for 1.50 at a time it was 1.65. Are they Pacific Pride? Not sure, but those guys were awesome. Ultra friendly, gas made my truck run like a champ, cheap prices, bitching hot dogs inside and they allowed you to use the toilet without purchase if you needed to. Now it's a crap station that wants way too much money and has a "buy before use" policy on the bathroom. Bunch of dickweeds.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 BP and Swifty's. I use my company BP gas card about 6 times a month ($200 a month limit) and when using my own money, usually Swifty's which is the cheapest generally.
NoCalMike Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 AM/PM is the cheapest chain around here, however sometimes if you go to a random "Bob's beer & gas" or whatever, they will be a penny or so cheaper.

kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Fuck Exxon. I went to fill up the better half's car since I spent most of the day driving around the greater Pittsburgh area looking for a piece of shit Mac mouse because the one I had at work died and nobody makes this kind of mouse anymore. Anyway, I pulled in and filled up, then noticed that I was being charged extra because I was using my credit card! Of course the pump was pre-pay, so what the hell is someone to do. I spit a few times on the pump for vengance. I sure showed them who's boss...
Dr. Tom Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Whatever's convenient and not gouging the price too bad. Usually, I hit up either a Wawa or a Royal Farms for gas. BP and Amoco around here are usually expensive, so I'll avoid those if I can.
TheBigSwigg Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 UDF, United Dairy Farmers, because I like padding the pockets of Carl Linder. I go there for the cheap Ice Cream.... Which is why I'm a fat-ass
The Amazing Rando Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Topic. I go to Sheetz, because they're pretty friggin cheap, and their MTO food is awesome. You can't be mentioning Sheetz outside of the Mid-Atlantic region (southwestern VA is the farthest south you'll find them) and have people understand. Yes, nearly every MTO rocks the house, but it's still a more "localized" chain. Sheetz is the cheapest around here, but if there isn't one around I go BP, but not a BP Amoco or anything like that. They suck. Straight BP for me.
