natey2k4 Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 Does anyone know any really Cocky sounding songs, where the song pretty much would "Hype Yourself" to make you sound sound arrogant or something if you were a wrestler... Pop or Rock would be preferred, thanks!
Nighthawk Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 Well, there is that Kid Rock song, "Cocky". You know.
Hank Kingsley Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 "I Am the Man" by the Philosopher Kings.
PLAGIARISM! Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 Wire's Colin Newman has a superb sarcastic arrogant drawl. Iggy and The New York Dolls were awesome in the 70s rock scene, at least. I guess Jagger was pretty damn good for a while too, and they did copy a lot of what he did.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Pretty much almost any Limp Bizkit you can think of. A lot of boy bands songs. Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, you heard one, you heard them all. and of course, this timeless rap classic: "Ain't No Fun" by Snoop Dogg
Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 There are many cockier songs in Snoop's ouevre than "Ain't No Fun," really. Unless you're actually going for a song about cocks.
Art Sandusky Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 "You're The Best Around" from the Karate Kid soundtrack, no idea who the band is. Such a positive song, you feel like going out and festively jogging while everyone on the street says hello and tells you how much you kick ass. That's way more valuable than hypeness, that's confidence.

Unless you're actually going for a song about cocks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Tha Shiznit." I would guess any song where the artist refers to himself as the shit should count.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Guns N Roses - Its So Easy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a different kind of "cock"-y, snuff. Anything by Rakim of KRS-One qualifies. And when you're Rakim or KRS, you can be as cocky as you want.
Corey_Lazarus Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 "Scatman" by Scatman John ...yes, it sounds cocky...
A Happy Medium Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 "Stroke Me" Billy Squire. And the Karate Kid song makes you want to hire someone to walk behind you with a boombox playing it on repeat.
Dandy Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 "Son Of A Bitch" by Nazareth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The song is actually titled "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth.
DCMaximo Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 "The Biggest And The Best" by Clawfinger "Bionic" by King Adora "She Wants Me" by Draw "You Love Us" by the Manic Street Preachers "Smarter Than U" by the Undertones
Dr. Zoidberg Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 "Handsome Devil" by The Smiths Good song.
